How to create natural sounding fadeout

I have a .wav file of a live performance. At the very end, before the sound has completely faded out, the audience starts clapping. I don't want the applause in the final version, but if I cut the file just before the first person claps, the sound is abruptly cut too. Is there a way I can create a natural sounding fadeout of the sound and still remove the applause?

You can do fade outs with audio editing software. It sounds like you might have to fade to zero before you might like but it could work for you..

Help please - question about settings in FruityLoops3

I was using 2.5 TS404, but recently installed version 3 Full, There was something I could do with the older version that it doesn't seem I can do with the newer. I used to be able to use my right mouse click to change the volume of an individual step (right mouse click, drag fader right for higher, left for lower). This allowed me to put all the natural dynamics I really needed into my loops. Without the capability to alter the volume of each step, fruityloops is useless IMO.

I checked out the help and all it says about the individual steps is that you can turn them on and off. Is it true that FruityLopps3 cannot alter the volume of an individual step, or are they just not making it easy to find? Any one know how to set it up to do what I need it to do?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Analog music to mac

Hi,

I have been trying to find a way to get my old taped music on to my G4 (466) mac. I have read about a 'Griffin' adaptor, do I need this or is there another way.

I also have on old 7600 mac with line in/out ports at the back, when I connected my stereo to the mac and tried to locate it in the sound control panel it was not there!

I have a download of Peak 3.1, so I have the software but can't seeem to get the stereo to be read by my macs, am I doing something really dumb?

Any help will be greatfully recieved.

All you need is a program like Peak (how do you mean you downloaded it? It's an expensive commercial package and worth every penny) to record the audio input on your mac. It's not hard...

If the 466 doesn't have an audio input, then the griffen iMic is a good tool. It converts the analogue to digital away from the electrical noise of the computer which is a good thing...

Hubi's midi loopback and XP

I have upgraded my operating system from windows 98 to XP and I've got everything to work, with the exception of Hubi's Midi Loopback device.

Although I can instal it and use it for patching my current midi hardware, the actual loop-back patches (LB1-4) will not instal. I think because the drivers aren't recognised.

Is there anyway I can get around this, or is there any other equal virtual midi patch utility that will work in XP?

Try MIDI Yoke from the MIDI OX site. It has worked graet for me using XP home. I run Cakewalk 9, and send MIDI Yoke 'Devices' to Audio Compositor or Native Instruments Battery, as well as various soft synths.

I experienced the same thing and than install MIDI Yoke, but I don't know how to make it work with Cakewalk and XGedit (i have sw1000xg soundcard).
I need XGedit for sound-tweaking so i setup Yoke Driver 1 and 2 to be MIDI OUT in XGEdit and MIDI IN in Cakewalk, but it doesn't work. I can hear midi songs (from cakewalk), but changing something in XGEdid has no effect on sound. Help? Thanx

That track is only available on an album by Gangajang, called essential Gangajang. It sells for $30 Australian, let me know if you want it.
