What is the name of this song??

What is the name of this song??

This popular thread has been given its own page : What is the name of this song??

K-man, please reply

I couldn't understand some points( maybe my technical vocabulary is not enough).
1)What's the sound spec t8 freeline? I've got only SB128 sound card
2)How can you connect a cable to a file? A file is software related, and a cable is electronic related.
I will be glad if you reply.
Thanx a lot
Emrah Yelboga

:
: You bet! Take the free vertex cable that is attached to the sound spec t8 freeline and fiber it to the cool edit pro history file. This way the midi influx has a valid bitmap to attain it's best wave fluctuation. If you don't have the right cable for the influx - try a Heelio modulator. They are about 39 cents at radio shack and work just as well for freeing up the space needed for the midi nutral configeration.

: Well good luck.

: : Is there any way to convert a midi file (uses XG software synthesizer) to wav file without realtime recording.
: : Because my pc's performance is bad.

Re: K-man, please reply

Audio compositor is a nice program. It uses sound fonts to render the audio. It sounds a lot better than FM wave table synth too.

Korg triton pro x and power tracks v. 7

Here's the deal- I have a Triton pro x and just got power tracks version 7. I'm using a toshiba PIII . I'm trying to use the midisport 1x1 as well. As a beginner of sorts I'm having some difficulty getting the three beasts to work together. Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated!

Need help Pleeeeeeeese!

recently I tryed to record my farts so I can submit them to capital records. No matter how I tryed to mix them, they still sounded farty. Don't get me wrong. the name of my album is called "My farts", so obviously I'm going after a certain sound. It's just they sound way to farty. I'd like to tone it down a bit. Does anybody have any ideas? Right now I'm using a secondhand dictation casette recorder from the 70's, could this be the problem?

Serious answers only please.

This is the kind of project you could sell to Fred Durst.

Re: Need help Pleeeeeeeese!

Frim-

As I see it, you may be a victim of excessive flatulance vapors (EFV). You may want to record these tremors in a well ventilated area to keep your mind sharp and you hearing tuned-in. The squeezing of the cheeks and inhalation of these vapors may be hindering your ability to discern the perfect tone you are trying to achieve or already have achieved.

Hope this helps!

.EFV to .MID

Dave is absolutely right, but I would like to add to that.
In addition to the dangers of EFV's, SBD is a very real threat. Otherwise known as "silent but deadly", these high frequency farts are entirely inaudible to human hearing, which can only hear farts between roughly 20Hz to 20kHz.
SBD's are well out of this range, but pose a serious threat to your olfactory system. You should either use nose plugs rated for -30dBf or find some other way of reducing output levels.

On a different note, you might want to invest in a fart to MIDI converter.
Since you are on the cutting edge of music, maybe you have what it takes to control one of these devices.
They were briefly popular in the late 60's but were never fully developed for some reason. I think Brian Eno has one though. I saw one for sale on Ebay, so I know they still exist.

Anyhow good luck. P.S. = do you know of a way that i can remove the stink from my farts ? Maybe there is some stink-removal program out there? Please tell me which one. I want to remove the stink and add a new scent. Is this possible?

XG midi to wav

Is there any way to convert a midi file (uses XG software synthesizer) to wav file without realtime recording.
Because my pc's performance is bad.

Re: XG midi to wav

: Is there any way to convert a midi file (uses XG software synthesizer) to wav file without realtime recording.

There is a cool open source MIDI to WAVE converter (and Player) called TiMidity++. (Windows/Linux/...)
It uses Gravis Ultrasound-compatible patch files and/or SoundFont Banks to generate digital audio data from general MIDI files.
It also "renders" XG midi files very well- You can directly dump the output to .wav files.
However, nothing for a beginner, as you have to download and configure some stuff - comes without an installer.
It's definetly worth trying.

PS: with some cool soundfonts (e.g. from http://www.hammersound.net/) your MIDI files sound
even better than anywhere else.

Recording / Saving streaming audio

Can someone please give me some info on how I can record streaming audio to a file format that can ultimately be burned onto CD.
I want to record off bbc's radio 1 - is this possible?
Tks

Re: Recording / Saving streaming audio

I wrote a program to do it which is available at www.monkeyheadsoftware.com. It's a pretty easy programming task and only requires using sockets to connect to a remote audio server and save the incoming stream to disk in a binary format.

kazaa

My kazaa isnt working. It just says connecting. I looked under help to see what the problem was and it says i probably have a firewall blocking it, and i need to open port 1214. I have no idea what this means, so therefore i have no idea how to fix this. can someone please help me??

Re: kazaa

I had that happen about 3 weeks ago, I had to update it to latest version. Look around for an update button or something to that effect.

Cheers!

that doenst work

Thanks Dave, but that doest work. I just Downloaded Kazaa because i had to reformat my hard drive. So everything is from scratch. I'm thinking it has to do with that "port 1214" but i have no idea what it is.
Thanks though!

How can to cut and save vocal from song?

There is such à program DirectX Vocal Remover, which removes the most (if not all) of the lead vocal from many contemporary stereo music recordings, but it just subtracts one channel from another.
There is the same feature in CoolEditPro (named VOCAL CUT). But Both of them save the sound, which has remained after removal of vocal. But they can not save the cut out vocal in a file. For example, that cut out vocal to use for creation of remix. Have you met the programs which are able to save the cut out vocal?

Maybe a programer can run with this....

Instead of removing what is the same in both channels, why not leave it behind and remove the rest?

I know that there will be some music left over in the backgroung no matter what is done, but could we not get it close?

Invert the removed vocals and paste it over the orginal audio. The result will be the song without the vocals.

Re: How can to cut and save vocal from song?

Well first of all your going to need a semplide T4 cable. NOT the semplide T77 cable! After which your going to have to find the antrex conductor located in the first quadrent of your sound card. This will free up your mouse for a more productive wash of the vocal properties. The gret 68 k conducer should do fine when cleaning the free space for the motive bi-amp.

Don't forget when treating vocals with the T77, it's property bit value decreases drastically, so don't use it! Only the T4 cable, OK?
Good luck, hope it goes well.

Re: How can to cut and save vocal from song?

i haven't seen such program or plugin too, but..
there's a way to this.

(as I remember) DX VocalRemover plugin has a button in its window with title means smth like "play only the stuff I cuted out".
So, you press the button, start another session of your sound editing program and record sound that plays (if your SoundCard has this feature).

but if you care about quality of vocal you will use in your mix, you better look for Acapella versions of the song. many popular songs are released only with vocal without any instruments or percusion, special for DJ mixing.
you'll never remove or strip any part of the song without loosing quality, becouse it looses frequencies!

I hope it helps, good luck.

Nero and adding .aif file to a VCD

I am using Nero (5.5.9.14) to burn some jpegs to a CD using the VCD format. How do I add the *.aif (encoded MP3 file) file to the burn (what directory does it go in?) so it will play the music track as the pictures are being shown as in a slide presentation?
I can't find the answer in the Nero help file at all.
Any suggestions are deeply appreciated.

Cheers! dave
