you hold down ALT,1,6,8 then let go! but you have to do the #'s on the right side of the keyboard, the side w* the division sign & stuff :-)

You hold down the key ALT and on the number pad to your right press 5544 and release ALT and there you go.

you press the alt button then on the side numbers press 55 44 and you should get this...¿ if that dosen't work than press alt 0191 on the side numbers

first hold down Alt. and the windows sign next to it. next, go to the right of your keyboard and type in the numbers 4 2 4 (in that order) while holding down the other two buttons. then release and u have an upside down question mark

Need info about Roland XP-50

Well my problem is that the device I use to save my songs (in midi format) is not working properly, so I have to save them in SVQ format, and I don't know what program is capable to read SVQ format (if exist). Mic Reverb Help

I'm glad i bumped into your site and
i'm sure you can help. I know you get lots
of mail so i'll get right to the point.
I'm looking for software in which i can add reverb to anything that's said through the microphone but must not effect other audio files that are playing in the background. I hope you understand what i'm talking about.
Please can you reply as soon as possible - i need it urgently.

The answer to this requires many more questions on equipment you already have etc etc..

The music in the background?? The background of a room with someone talking into a microphone that requires the reverb?? This isn't possible for obvious reasons.

The way people record vocalists with reverb can be complicated for the average joe to understand as the reverb is rarely recorded at the same time, despite the fact the vocalist can hear the reverb when they are talking/singing. This is a channel routing thing and can be done in many different ways depending on the equipment you are using.

If you need to add Reverb to a vocal and you have audio playing from a multitrack software sequencer, then all you need to do is record the 'other' audio through a different channel (depending on your equipment again) OR record it first and then get the singer/vocalist to sing, through a reverb, on top of the 'other' audio, to a different audio track. This is the essence of multitracking and has been used for years now..

As you can see, there is too much guess work for people to answer your question without all the information.

I have a ton of songs on my comp that i downloaded, or extracted from CD's and its taking a lot of hard drive space. Does anyone know of any way I can compress these files into smaller files? please e-mail me if you can help. Thanx

If you don't already have a CD-RW (CD-burner), then you should seriously consider getting one. Blank CD's are very very cheap, and you can store many many songs or files.

CD's are still one of the best ways to archive music and files. Other than that, ZIP drives are good for files that need to be editable, but they aren't as portable. I think you should avoid CDRW disks, because they have higher error rates than CDR disks, and they still take long to erase. I don't think they are as durable, either. Don't use DAT (digital audio tape). It takes too long.

File compression isn't really worth it, because the compression takes so long, and like Holler has said, MP3 files are already compressed to be small. I guess it does make sense to get additional drives if you need the files to be on your computer.

p.s. DVD-RAM drives are coming out in new computers this year. This means you'll be able to save gigabytes of info on a single DVD. This will make CDR drives somewhat obsolete, so if you have money to spend, maybe this is what you should budget for. I know that DVD-RAM drives sound exotic, but so did CD-R drives a few years ago.

If they are .wav files, you can convert them to MP3 with CDex (freeware). Get it here:

WMA files tend to be a bit smaller, and has close to the same sound quality as MP3, however, they can only be used by certain programs and players.

Your only other solution is to get a larger Hard Drive.

real complicated with the music. Musictime deluxe is

You've got a lot of learn, my friend. Firstly you can rip from the CD to MP3 using MusicMatch Jukebox. To transfer the music onto the web, you will have to (probably) FTP the file to the account where the website is stored. I'd use WS-FTP for this. It's very simple. But there are a few processes involved.
