linkin' your mc 303 with an atari..HELP

I don't know much about midi, but I try to link my mc 303 to my atari with cubase. Anyway, it won't work because If I change sounds on one channel of cubase, he changes all the sound of all the other channels!!!What the hell should I do??

If your not using program changes throughout the song then you could simply turn on GM or midi program change (sysex if you have to) messages being received by the 303. You will have to check the manual for that though.

Turning the program change filler on and off in the 303 should work unless I have misunderstood you..

There is no information in your message. Someone might recognise what that file is associated with, by it's unlikely.

Problems with rhapsody

I used rhapsody with my old computer and it worked fine. I now have a new system using windows 2000.I installed rhapsody but I have problems.Everytime I try to use the TEXT in the graphics palette, I get a error message.."rhapsody caused a general protection fault in module rhapsody.exe at 009:8A35. Choose close, rhapsody will close". When I choose close the program shuts down and I lose all my music. Could anyone help?

I assume you have checked whether the program is compatible with your operating system? If not, there 'maybe' an update for it to work.

Could someone please reccomend a programme for me to record backing tracks and my voice. Freeware would be nice. I have used the windows sound recorder to record my voice, but don't know if I can use it for backing tracks as well.Thanks.

I have heard many windows users claiming to get on with N-track. I use a Mac and therefore have no experience of this program. I think you can download a demo from either this site or check with a search engine like Google.com.

You can get programs like ProTools FREE for nothing. Go and check the download area. This maybe a bit of a learning curve for some... try them out and see..

If you want to transfer the files from your CD to your hard drive, then CDex will do.

EQ Isolator on software?

Hey,I'm still not very familiar with the music software and its capabilities, but I'd like to know if there is any software available that isolates frequency areas,and when I say isolates I mean at least -45dB and more, like the Vestax isolators for example.Please help!!!

Low and High pass filtering is useful for this and is standard in multitracking and audio editors.

Here's a slow but effective way of achieving what you need.

1. Convert the music MP3 to WAV.
2. Consider whether you want to do your voice over live over the music.
3. If you do, get a <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/MULTITRACK_RECORDING/">multi-track recording</a> program.
4. If you don't, get a <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/MULTITRACK_RECORDING/">multi-track recording</a> program.
5. It should be pretty easy from here, you can mix your voice with the music LIVE.

Another way would be to use a freeware program such as <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/DDClip_Free/">DDClip</a> which will do the job perfectly. I don't think it works with MP3s but you should be working with WAV anyway.

What device or adapters could one use to get the awesome hypnotic sound of the bass created by the synth using an electric bass as the interface between the machine or whatever, etc. My approach to playing is already from another dimension, however I am ready to take it to the next level. ie. Fusion Jazz Rave House Dance Music from Neptune to shake the very soul of the listener. Any Assistance with this process is greatly appreciated.. Also, if you are involved in some creative venture that I can contribute to in some form or manner. Please . Let's do it! I am being compeled by my mentor (Miles Davis). His Energy wants to be released.

saving non wave files to cd

An MP3 file can be treated as any other data file, but you'll need something like Nero InCD or Roxio's DirectCD to copy them. If you try using EasyCD Creator or Nero Burn, they'll convert them to WAV files for you.

I use DirectCD, and have burnt several CDs containing MP3 files.

That would have been nice huh? You probably know that you may save .sng files as std midi in the saving menu on you keyboard.

Different to the one you get with the machine? It does have a big learning curve. Phone Roland up as they are often quite helpful when you require hints and tips.

Logic Audio with Audigy Card

Why can´t I use my audigy card with Logic Audio....

I always get the message: error while trying to syncronize Audio and Midi Sample Rate ..... recognized.

Nobody´s able to help my on either support line.

Never had prob. before, and the prob. does not occure on Cubase.

I'm having the same problem using Magix Music Studio 7 (which I think is essentially the same as Logic)
Its driving me insane - it worked fine with the SB Live

I've been looking for a program that will allow me to compose music for the computer, and will also play it back with good expression like crescendo, descendo, retard. etc. I found some that will do crescendo and descendo, but not when I tie the notes together. It just jumps to a different sound at a barline. Is there anything out there yet that can really imitate an orchestra?
