A to D Conversion

I have an extensive library of audio casettes and want to convert them to CD's so I can play them on a DVD player. I have a CD burner and a sound card with a mic input. I am not a techie but i can find my way around this equipment. I need directions and recommendations.

Very easy to do. Connect your tape deck to you sound card using the LINE IN, not the MIC IN. It's better to use a cassette deck with record out phono connectors, but if you can't get one, you'll have to use the headphone socket instead. As for recording the sounds, there are loads of programs which will do this. Have a look in the software section. Personnally, I use Cool Edit 96 for recording and Easy CD Creator 4 for burning.

hey, when i record with acid 3.0, just making projects with loops and sample etc, when i record to .Wav, the output of the wav file when i play is very low...i can hardly hear it ....why is this??anyone....help would be appreciated...cheers!!

Digital Voice Recorders

I am looking to buy a digital voice recorder to tape phone conversations for articles and documentaries. It must be able to download audio files (as WAV or MP3) to a PC or a Mac (preferably both). I have researched a bit of what's out there. Was just wondering what type of reccomendations anyone might have on this. Thanks!

Ive recently deleted all of my audio codecs in an attempt to fix a problem with buzzing. the problem is fixed but now i need all the codecs in order to play certain wav files. the only ones that i have are: Fraunhofer IIS and microsoft converter.

can someone look over their audio codecs and tell me which ones they have besides these two?

The only option is installation of KX drivers for sound card(firs you must uninstall old drivers from Creative) and than you can set up front & rear output in Traktor.

Need help splitting

I made a mix cd from my turntables. I can burn the wav file from my Adaptec Easy CD Creater 4. My problem is it records as 1 track...for the full length. I want to split the tracks without a pause for a clean mix through the entire cd. Tracks 1,2,3...etc. However when I go to (Track) on the toolbar the drop down doesnt allow me to click (split tracks). Can someone tell me why, or tell me of a program to do this? Preferably free. I just want to be able to forward to each song like on any mix cd. Thank u for any help u can give me. David

n-track studio is very easy to use. it should suit ur needs well. its also only $40 to register (a bargain for all the features!): I am looking for a simple audio editing program that will let me edit taped interviews and then mix these interviews with music. I want to reduce the range of notes in some
midifiles so that I can learn to play them on my 61 key
ESQ-1. What utilities or sequencer programs have this feature so that you don't have to change each note
manually. I would also like to reduce multi tracks to just one piano track.

CD ROM drive crackaling and poping with static

I'm trying to burn mpg's and avi's to cd to watch on my dvd player, but everytime I goto burn I get an error in the burn screen. It says Burnprocess started then ..Burning "filename.mpg" error- not enough memory. Has anyone ever had this before? I have xp, 512mb ram, 800 duron.

it probably means that there is not enough virtual memory...go into system properties,click performance...click virtual memory...set minimum to 128 and maximum to 128....works trust me

I have a normal minidisk SHARP IM DR420H that I use in my choir that I intend to use to record the voíces while we ar training. By the attached program BetJam can record from pc to minidisk butnot the other way round.
Is there any program I can use to get my recorded files from the MD-player in to the PC via my USB port?

I'am very greatfull for any idee to solve this problem

hey rick... cant help with reversing the procedure.. i am having trouble recording from PC to minidisc ... what programme did you use??? I have a soundblaster live card with a dig out but the friken thing doesnt seem to send a signal!

Yes, Shah sahib. Softwares like AXS for Windows, Fruityloops version 3 allow you to do so.

If *live* Netcast, no alternatives but to use Total Recorder or alike.
For non-live, most streaming audio has hidden URL, so you need URLSnooper
to find out the URL first, then StreamBox VCR to download.
