Re: Best software for "On the Fly" Burning?

See http://www.roxio.com/en/support/recorders/burnproof.html

Andy

question

is there any way you can remove sound from a video???

Software...

Software video editing will import a video and audio track seperately. The audio track therefore is easily lost or replaced. Some video recorders have an audio dub facility which could be used to record silence over the video itself although the sound will be lost forever...!

Re: question

The only way to do this properly is to copy the video without
connecting the audio.

Re: question

k but i already have it on my computer...its an mpeg is there a program to remove the sound like theres a program to remove the vocals in a song

Quicktime...

Quicktime pro does it on my Mac. I suspect that the windows version would work too.

Split tracks

I downloaded some entire albums from WinMX and now I need to split the tracks to burn onto a cd as some of them were 2 cd sets. Does anyone know how? I am using Easy CD Creator and have Windows ME.

Re: Split tracks

You can use an MP3 editor. Plenty at http://www.mp3machine.com/cat/EDITORS/

Re: Split tracks

u can load an album into an audio editor, highlight a section, click 'export highlighted area' or whatever options the editor offers and repeat, creating new audio file each time.

Cubase hates Acid

I've just bought a new audio workstation and want to install the following software; Cubase5, Sound Forge5, Cool Edit Pro and Acid Pro 3. However my supplier says that Acid uses DirectX7 and that Steinberg do not sanction this when using Cubase. I cannot therefore install Acid under warranty. Anyone else heard of this?

Not quite sure what you mean. Ive got the same programs as you and they run perfect with DirectX7. Lots of musicians have had problems with DirectX8. Dont know what that guy was on about
Stick with DirectX7 and you shouldnt have any problems with those programs. Hope this helps.

Re: Cubase hates Acid

D is right. DX7 is totally fine for any music software out there. If u wanted to use Reason with Cubase utilising the 'Rewire' technology then yes you would need DX8 installed.
