how do i copy a cd+g using either Plextools or WinOnCd
I got a new plextor writer Model:px-w1610ta.It came bundled with plextools and winoncd3.8 It said it can copy CD+G's but so far i have had no luck.Does anyone know a step by step procedure of how to do this. Yours Gratefully Ray Miller

this new mp3pro sounds so bad...they say 'it sounds better than mp3 at half bitrate'...thats big bs !!
it sounds awful...try it with hihats or oder high freq stuff then you know what i mean...

Cubase help
Can anybody help please?
I have just installed a demo of Cubase VST32, but can't get any sound output when playing MIDI files. Do I need to change any settings?

You need to ensure that you select the midi synth on your soundcard as the output for the part your trying to listen to.I have a soundblaster 5.1 and there are 3 or 4 options with my set up.

boosting acoustic signal
I have an older acoustic with a Dean Markley pickup. I normally plug directly into a sound blaster live. The problem is that the signal is not strong enough. Would a preamp be the solution? Is there something better?

I've found those pick ups to have a pretty low response. You'd probably save money getting another pick-up versus a pre amp. I've got a Dimarzio that does just fine going into a Sound Blaster.

Hi there
I used to use Cool Edit back when it was a wav editor, so I am not familiar with using it for Multitracking. However, you are always better off using a VST compatible host for multitracking, as the wealth of free VST effects and VSTinstruments far outperform anything supplied by a host multitracking program.
I am using Cubase VST 3.7. If you look into Cubase 5 (http://www.steinberg.net) you will no doubt be blown away by the wealth of possibilities. It is worth the price paid.

easy cd creator 5 not recognising blank disks
easy cd creator 5 seems to only work well at first, and then inexplicably stops recognising blank disks. does this sound familiar to anyone ?: bloody thing costs a fortune, and it won't do what's even minimally required of it!!

Burning emu 64 direct to disk
I have an Emu e64 sampler and a Mac G4 but unless I get Gallery software for $600 it is very triky to get them to tolerate each other (infact the e64 has an "ignore Mac" on its scsi master page. Does anybody know another way to back files up directly onto a CD writer ? many

You can record RealAudio .rm files by selecting "stereo mix" in your recording settings.
Then you can simply use your favorite recording software such as SoundForge for recording any audio played by any audio player, streaming or not.
I was very amased that you can simply record streaming audio this way.
But afterwards it was quite clear: "Stereo mix" is the output which goes to your boxes.

It seems obvious that you have never used Real Player, THERE IS NO RECORD BUTTON WHEN VIEWING STREAMING VIDEO...KNOCK, KNOCK. If your going to make someone feel stupid, maybe you should pull your head out of your ass first!!!! After all it just proves that you are about as inteligent as a sack of S@!?....

I am looking for the best music composer software trought cuting and pasting prerecorded sounds.
I found a software were you can cut and paste diferent all ready recorded sounds so you can create your own composition. but this software was only for Tecno music
I am looking for a program were you have from violines for clasic music to electric guitar to eviroment prerecord sounds so you can compose easily any can of music, please recomend or advise which name of the best programe of this kind (whith CUT AND PASTE prerecorded sounds of all instrumentes and more) and how to buy.

Hey,I am looking for some equipment to plug into my computer to create and compose songs that I have created..i.e.moniters, amplifiers...I need to know what and where I should get these things from. I already have a mike, but it sounds really muffled when I play back the recording...please help!!

IF you want cut and paste, why not try a tracker program or something?
and for violins or something, use Midi (though may not sound real)..but they are free and i would recommend something
like <a href="http://www.modplug.com>Modplug Tracker</a> or something of the ilk.
have a look at hitsquads links and stuff..im sure you will find something if you are on a budget or a rich dude.

will I lose sound quality converting mp3s from 128kbps to...
I converted my mp3s from 128kbps to 96 kbps using Music Match. Do you know if this causes loss of sound quality? My brother told me to make sure I download my mp3s at 128 kbps or up because mp3s at 96kbps do not sound as good as 128 or above. And can I convert all of my 96kbps mp3's back to 128 kbps or will they still sound like 96 kbps.

I'll answer these one at a time. But first you have to remember that MP3 encoding involves lossy compression. That means that certain sounds and ranges will be clearly 'lost' if you encode an MP3 at a low enough bit-rate.
Having said that, you will have lost quality going from 128 to 96. You should be able to tell by listening to the files. If you try to go back up to 128, the quality of the file will not improve.
