If you have a mac, you can convert from format
to format using SoundApp and SetItsType. Both are
shareware. If you experiment with these two,
you can get some interesting results. However, only
certain files can be read as sounds if they aren't
really sounds.

I want pick up the best combinations from several files to one file.

Problems with GigaSampler S-Converter

Hi, I have a problem with my GigaSampler S-Converter utility. I'm trying to convert a AKAI Burning Grooves Library and a blank dialog window appears. The .GIG file isn't created. This problem occurs only in programs with more than 15 KeyGroups. I have 2GB free space in HD.

Emu drivers for SB Live Plat

I have heard many rumours of patched emu aps drivers that will enable aps functionalitly on a sb live platinum. i have got the emu drivers from their website, but they won't work properly. i am aware that they might not produce analogue outs, but they won't work at all, and the emu software won't run cos it won't recognise the card.

I am interested in building a database of my cd collection, which contains many classical cds. I have a player that came with Windows 98 Plus, Deluxe CD Player, which gets the titles off the internet and puts it into a relational database on my hard drive. This is great, in theory. However, the database it uses is not very good. In fact, it’s horrible. It seems to use something called CDDB which may be fine for pop/rock, but fails miserably for classical.
Here’s an example. One disc is described as Title: “Sonatas For Violin And Fortepiano”, Artist: “Shubert Franz”. Another is described as Title: “Schubert - Sonata for Arpeggione, Schumann”, Artist: “Argerich and Maisky”. For the first disc, it says nothing about the performers at all. And it seems that the composer is put randomly in the title or artist, making it very difficult to organise and search my database. Also Schubert is spelled wrong in one of the entries!
So, short of keying in all my cd and track information myself, is there any way to build a database of my discs?

There are two bottlenecks here. One is the information available on CDDB (you can't expect rock fans to be able to spell Beethoven correctly if they've never heard of him). The other is the editor you are using. Some editors extract and display more information (and in better order) than others. In the end, it is all up to the accuracy of the data input. I would manually enter the stuff myself (which I do) if you really want it right.

Yes, indeed. Yogen Vocal remover, or Cool edit/ channel mixer. Note that the removing of vocals nothing has to do with filtering or whatever; the vocals MUST be in the center of the sound mix, or vocal removing will be uneffective

there are functions that cut all the stereo signals, leaving all the mono signals:
Vocal parts are normally (not always) in the middle.

The best way to buy them as far as I have found so far
is just go to Ebay and type CD+G Karaoke in the search
and you will get around 30 pages of items.

www.codamusic.com has several software programs that will convert. They are a little expensive, but very good programs.

Finally one that I can answer. You would have to save them on your PC as MIDI files and then import them to whatever program you are using on the Mac. If you can't go back and save them as MIDI files then I'd consider converting them for you--if there were not too many. Post here and I'll follow up.

when doing guitar harmonies.....just put the harmony note a minor 3rd step higher (or lower depending on what you want). this makes the sweetest sounding harmony there is.
example: e-------
B------- the 5 on the d string is the
G----4*- root note. the 4 with the *
D----5-- is the harmony!
A-------
E-------

How can I eliminate performance interuption on Cubasis AV

I have Mac Performa 6400/180mhz with 80 MB ram. I am running system 7.1 or something like that. When I record and playback songs on cubasis av, I get a delay in the song like every 7 seconds. Can you please help.

Help with cubase VST

Im gettin a delay when i record. I now its because of a cheap sound card but if i could move the audio samples just a tiny fraction back after recording it would work fine. Does anyone no how to move samples around in small fractions?

you'l have to go to "Snap Bar" and click it.
you're problem is actualy the "latency time"
there for you have to make a routing. i don't
know if that's possible with a cheap soundcard.

How can I connect a music keyboard instead of a computer keyboard(replace) to play music, running for example the Computer Sounder(Piano) ,vers.2.41.
Running this program appear on the screen a virtual music keyboard and for each note correspond a key on the computer keyboard.
Attention! It's not a MIDI keyboard!
Can anyone help me regarding on the electronic scheme?
