Try the wonderfull Sound Diver provided by Emagic.
It works with (allmost) all the MIDI integrated sythersizers in our time!!

I don't think this is correct. I've tried various suggested solutions to converting .rmx to .mp3 files including streambox v2.00.9. This program will convert .ra and .rm files but winamp won't play the file that is produced if you load a .rmx for conversion. RealJukeBox will play the file produced by streambox but it is just audio-scramble.

I've also tried plug-ins for winamp which are supposed to produce either .wav or .mp3 files. They both work but are extremely flaky, crashing the program more often than they produce a file. Also I can find no way to make either of them work in batch mode. Each file conversion has to be initiated manually.

If I am wrong and streambox does convert .rmx (not .ra or .rm)files could someone post how they did it. If not, does anyone know a stable, batch processor for conversion of .rmx to .mp3?

Fish are jumping goes...

Dm, F, Am, C, E7 and then back to the first bit

Hush little baby is

D7, F, Am,E7,

I can't post the whole song as I will get bits in the wrong place. Those chords are okay for the song and represent sections, let me know how it goes and if you have problems understanding it, I will play it into the computer and send you and MP3 to get you going!

I burned a CD of wave files onto a 74 Minute disc; the time was 73:35. Then I ripped it to 16-bit, 44.1k, stereo WAVE files and the total size is 739MB. How is this happening / do I have a problem? It played on my CD player just fine and a few others, so it is compatible, which is good. Does anyone know what's happening here?

If the WAVs on the original CD were record in a lower quality than the ones on the second CD, then this could be the cause. For example, if one or more of the WAVs on the original CD were mono or sampled at less than the 44.1k you mention, when you come to rip them you may end up increasing the size of some files.

It sounds like you have over-burned the second CD. As far as I am aware, an over-burned CD will work in most modern (ie within last year or so) players, and most good quality older players.

ReBirth is made to be really easy to use. What do you want to do with it? If you want to make songs out of the presets, flip the switch at the top to song mode and click record, then start changing patterns and turning knobs to your heart's content. From there, it's pretty simple.

Do you know how to program a 303 or 909? If you do, you're halfway there :)

This one took me a while to figure out. You have to use a plug-in, but at first it's not obvious how to select them.

First you have to make sure you have Nullsoft's Disk Writer Plug-in. Go to the preferences menu in Winamp and select the Output category under the Plug-ins group. If "Nullsoft Disk Writer Plug-in" isn't there, click on the "Get plug-ins" hyperlink at the foot of the window, and download it.

Once the disk writer plug-in is listed, double-click on its entry in the list, and select the desired output directory. Making sure the disk writer plug-in is still highlighted, close the preferences box. Now simply load your playlist and click play.

The MP3s will appear in your chosen output directory with the same name except the extension will be WAV instead.

By the way, if your system is slow, or very busy, you may get some stuttering in your WAVs. Just increase the priority of Winamp in the "Options" category in preferences.

When you're done, remember to go back into the preferences and switch back to the waveOut plug-in, by leaving it highlighted as you exit the preferences. Otherwise you won't hear anything when you play your files, and your disk space will gradually get mysteriously smaller...

I am not familiar with their music but I expect that they are probably, among other things, using a multitrack record of some description. This site has tons of demos and shareware to try, go take a look....

MP3 is so well known now because of the virtual 10:1 ratio that it acheives with minimal loss of quality. I can't think of anything better than MP3 to use at this stage...

Sometimes though, although it's a lot smaller than the original wave, they can still be quite large, audio takes up a lot of room and that that's. Recording a 5 minute stereo wave file into an MP3 will reduce it from around 50megs to around 5megs. If you make it a mono file and reduce the quality of the compression, the file will be smaller. That's the best you get at the moment, hope that helps.

i am on a mac and have a quicktime player, i have downloaded Virtual Dummer 403 and because of the system requirements of VD 403 i am assuming that it works through the quicktime player. if anyone can qive me some directions on how to open VD 403 in the quicktime player it would be much appreciated.
