IS IT POSSIBLE TO RECORD ONLY VOICE FROM WAV FORMAT

You probably won't find anything that can achieve this to perfection. The basic reason is that vocals often occupy the same frequencies as other instruments and when you remove the frequencies you remove more than the vocals.

Still, it can be done under the right conditions. Try AnalogX's <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/VocalRemover/">Vocal Remover</a>.

I need help to solve two problems.First:when I make multitrack recordings with Cool Edit Pro,why on the 2-nd track is mixed the first,on the 3-rd the first and the second,etc.?
Second:could I convert a wav(or a complex wav)file into a midi file, editing, than compressing and saving
on a floppy which I can use to a Roland keyboard?

I wont answer your Cool edit question because I don't use it.

Converting a wave to midi is basically impossible at this point. There are programs that attempt it but in my opinion, it's just for fun or for slow and basic single instruments. Forget putting a whole track and expecting results. Floppies are still used but are old and a very small and slow storage option. Storing text files or midi files is all they are good for in my opinion so storing any decent size wav file or even MP3 is impossible.

Hello Nicky,

It sounds like you need some extra software on your PC to help get
data from your keyboard. If you are trying to transmit send patch
data or sysex then you'll need a editor or librarian program, here's
a few to look at:

SysEx Solution - <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SysEx/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SysEx/</a>
SyxLibEd - <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Syx_Lib_Ed/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Syx_Lib_Ed/</a>

If you are trying to record the notes you play on the keyboard
then you'll need a sequencing program - you can find a bunch of

You can't really - this problem is only slightly less
difficult to solve than changing a .wav to a .mid.

there's a program there called unfuck.exe that converts wma to mp3. You have to register with ebay but it's worth it!! Saved me from having to re-copy all the songs I had in WMA format

there is a program there called unf#ck.exe it will make an exact copy of the WMA file only the copied file will be unprotected allowing you to convert it to mp3, wav, etc

selection of machine

I need help with the selection of a karaoke machine. We would like one just for the fun of it. We have grandchildren and would like to introduce them to the world of music in this way. We would like 2 mic inputs, cd player, capability to hook up to our speaker system and anything else that would enhance their fun. We don't have much for selection here. I'm sure there must be a wide range of machines...I just don't know which way to go. Any suggestions welcome!

I would have thought that most if not all of them give you the facilities that you want. I don't have a great knowledge of them but my friend has one that runs off car batteries and we take it out for the day if we are going to get ratted in the park...! It has those facilities minus the CD player but it is old and cheap and he bought it for £15...

Buying any audio equipment requires that you know the manufacturer and know that they are respectable and good at making equipment that is reliable and sound great. If it's just for the kids, they wont notice little intricasies in the audio quality so don't over spend unless it makes all the difference to you. Sorry to not be more specific on the particular brands, hope this message is good for something..!

You can edit the Wave in a Wave editor. You have to convert the MP3 to .wav/.aif and load it into any Wave editor although some editors will load MP3's by default. The do uncompress them though into their original size.
