Try looking at Multi Media Builder. http://www.mediachance.com This program will let you build the ap that you are looking to produce. You can string the AVI's together with script and run the whole thing in a kiosk mode to prevent the user from messing with the PC

Is this out there? Midwavi came close, but it didn't blackout at the end of my AVI's, and it didn't support keyboard control... Just to make sure: It should be AVI's or black screen and nothing else since 2.000 people are watching this stuff on a huge screen!

OK, this is pretty simple. Hook your tape player up to your computer. You may need to go to Radio Shack for the proper cable. Plug into the line in on the soundcard. Set your computer's mixer to record from the line in. Then start recording in a WAVE recorder BESIDES SOUND RECORDER (because it doesn't let you have over 60 seconds). Then you save the file(s) in the .WAV format. Start up your CD recording software and select the waves you want. When done, click record. Simple as that.

1.learn to play the drums
2.punch the triggers in yourslef in realtime with a keyboard or drum pad (a la mpc2000 or boss dr style pad)
3.export the midi sequence to cubase and groove-quantize or hand tweak the notes yourself.
4.accept the fact that acoustic musical insturments are capable of a much broader range of aural-expression than their electronic counterparts (in a certain manner of speaking) and learn to embrace the inherent qualities of your chosen medium, rather than trying to make it something it's not.
5. try filtering with a sublte delay patch to add random note-wispers at less-robot intervals.

On your soundcard, you will see there is a connector that says "line Out" on your tape deck/recorder there is a connector, probably 2 RCA connectors that say line in (Record)
you need a cable to hook these two connectors togetehre, usually a 1/8 male connector to a dual RCA connector. once you hook them up, put your tape in, and pause it, then set it to record, and set your volume level, using the tapes control, and the volume control on the computer, the computers volume should preferably be not TOO high, but medium, and set the tapes input volume control frm there, then.. let er' rip....
