Yes, I have <g>. Music Publisher is an editing system for Music Notation ($120) and the optional add-on MP Scan ($90) allows you to scan existing music into the system. Once in, it's a standard function of MP to transpose and reprint.

Before church last week I scanned a hymn in which was in F minor, transposed and reprinted in Eminor. All in 5 minutes, I timed it.

I do have to give props to the few people who try and respond to peoples questions. But...My gripe is. This board is continually being filled by people asking the same F*!king questions over and over again (ie .mp3 to wav, etc). DO SOME RESEARCH PEOPLE. I've been trying to give this board a chance for a while, but am at my end. There is No good discussions, just tons of dumb-ass questions.
DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD BOARD FOR MUSICIANS AND NOT PEOPLE TRYING TO COPY CD'S??? I'D LIKE TO FIND ONE THAT FOCUSES ON MUSIC SOFTWARE IN RESPECTS TO COMPOSING, NOT BURNING YOUR NEIGHBORS BRITNEY SPEARS CD!

This site doesn't pretend to be a musician's site because it isn't, but being a musician myself I think it provides a lot of valuable information about music software. I agree with you however about the same questions being asked over and over again and that bores me to death too. You just might find what you're looking for over here:

I am a mobile DJ who wants to be able to take a laptop to gigs. I want to be able to drag MP3 files into a playlist.
I need pitch control, and ideally the ability to listen to other tracks to decide what to pop into my playlist whilst music is playing.

Can anyone help me what software best serves my needs.

I think Cakewalk has a program that does this. I'm not sure though. Check it out.

I've got a minilink its called, it hooks into your usb and then right into your md recorder

My old 'Proforma 630' is shot to hell, I saved all my 'MUSICTIME' documents to floppy. I then inserted the disk into my brother's PC, and did a full format, in hopes of importing the documents into my new 'MUSIC WRITE 2000' program so that I could complete some orchestrations for an upcomming concert. When the formating was complete I clicked on to the floppy disk icon. What came up was some MS DOS window with a bunch of writing I didn't understand. I need the computer to be able to read my documents. What do I do? PLEASE RESPOND AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE, THIS IS URGENT.

I hope you can help me!
I've been using Master track pro 5 on my mac for years,
One of the features I use the most is a song list,
where you can have your midi files in the order you want,
and you can play them by clicking any key or by setting
a time betwen songs. this feature is specially usefull
for gigs or making tapes or cds from your midi files.
Now, the question is, if you have a recomendation on a
program-secuencer that work the same way for a Windows laptop

After burning..my CD-R's won't play, except in the computer???

I burned some new DMB songs....and the CD, which is a CD-R
will not play anywhere except for the computer cd drive.
DOes anyone know why this won't work in a stereo or car?
Can anyone help me????

I read on another link that you may be using a CD-RW. If that is the case, then you need to be certain that you are using a CD-R only. Probably of no help, but thought that I would try.

j'ai enregistré mais je n'ai pas pu numériser sur mon ordi.
Malheureusement, j'ai du rendre le matériel et j'ai 2 cassettes à traiter.
est-ce que qq pourait me recevoir chez lui à Paris et qui possède un lecteur DAT pour me permettre de numériser mes 2 cassettes.

I'm a student doing my third year projects.

software such as Mixman and Sonic Foundry's Acid music.
I'm too sure if you've heard of it. Can you suggect to

I used a old program called Iomega- Recordit to put save some music on my hard drive and winamp will not play the files. I tried to change the extensions to mp3's but that did not work. Any ideas how to change mp2's to mp3's or turn them to wav files? Thanks, Robin

You cant use easy cd creator for burning cd+g because the software does not allow you to read the sub chanels where the grapics are situated. however you can download demo software from www.blindwrite.com that will do the job for you but only if your writer can read cd+g format. Chek your writer documentation to see if it is compatable. the blindwrite software is free but only for a limited time, but you can get round it by adjusting the date in your bios. It depends what you want to do.
If you want to work with samples/loops go for

You may also want to look at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/CubaseVST24">Cubase VST</a>
if you want to get into sequenceing and recording audio (eg Guitar)
Also take a look at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/FruityLoops_win95">Fruity Loops</a>

Sibelius is a very good program.
I suggest you take a look at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/EarMaster_School/">EarMater School</a>
It's designed for a classroom.

It's worth looking down this page at Roland.Uk as they have various versions of operating systems for different devices. I got close to EM50 but not quite there, it's worth a loo around though otherwise I would E-mail Roland and ask them where you can get it from,

i have sound forge xpress 4.5 as well as 50 gigabytes of hard drive.

ware for starting out on a somewhat limited budget. i
do play guitar and know music to a limited degree. i have
considered acid music 2.0 as starter but thought perhaps i
needed something more like smartsounds. i would appreciate

Well as you use Sound Forge you may want the ACID as you'd be familiar with Sonic Foundry's interface and so forth.
