Hey Nigel: I don't think people on this site are on an ego trip either I just mean people in general,anyway I was just goofing on you guys you would of have to been reading this forum for a while to get that message.

Simple Recording Software

A recent upgrade causes my adeptec software not to recognise my on board sound input, therefore I can't record my old LP's as wav files, and thence to CD.
Most software I have looked at is just too darn complicated for such a simple chore. Can anyone please suggest an alternative to adeptec's spin doctor?

Try "Nero Burning Rom" and also Steinberg's Clean! does it (included easy-to-use audio restoration settings). If you'r a newbie for this process choose Steinberg's Clean!.

Degradation of midi sounds on Cuebase...please help

I've just set up version 5 Cuebass with all the plug ins. The more midi files I add, the worse the quality of sound. In fact, some of the sounds appear to warp and degrade. Midi sounds fantastic on my PC when not using Cuebass.....What am I doing wrong?????

What do you mean by "The more Midi Files I add"? Are you importing whole midi songs or writing your own midi tracks/instruments?? What is the sound source that is making the instrument sounds? This is paramount to a decent answer from the forum.

What are you using to claim that Midi sounds fantastic on your PC when not using Cubase? Midi doens't actually sound like anything. It's controlling information to tell something else to sound fantastic... You must explain more...

soundlike polyphony overload leading to cutting short of midi sounds to me? Check your midi settings fella! (in Cubase)

Emagic Audio Logic 2.0

Hello, I am wanting to use an old 386 laptop as a portable sequencer. It is running Win3.1 I found Emagic Audio Logic 2.0 works well. But I only have the demo and Emagic said they no longer sell this software and no longer have the "activation disk" to convert it to the full version. Can anyone help me. I also would not mind suggesstions for other seqs that can run on a 386 with Win3.1 Thank You
