hi my name is solange im in the 7th grade and i love 2 sing i stared singing when i was 6 and every talent show or party ect... i would sing im not scared 2 sing in front of people 2 sing i sing my heart out! i even made my own song i made 2 songs already i would love 2 be on star search or american juniors pleace help me get on so i can sing my heart maybe u can call me and ill sing 2 u and u will tell them how i can sing my # is 508-584-3048 pleace help me !!!!

I'm only ten years old and I'm already city famous for singing. 1. it takes skill 2. Get out there, if your school is having a play volenteer.
3. sing any where you can 4. have fun. I became city famous by just singing at church. Get out there and do your best, because I believe in you,(alot!) Be free to e-mail me back. Yust because you and I are young doesn't mean we can't do it.

Apparently they're all the rage in file-sharing land. As for instrumental tracks, heaps of MP3.com artists are cool with people using their stuff. Just ask the artists you like.

Has anyone heard of an App that is to be released soon called "Live" ? Apparently developed in Japan and rumoured to out do Propellerheads Reason ( Big call )

I am looking for more info if possible but typing 'Live' into a search engine obviously give useless results.

Cubase after partitioning

not a cubase problem but just sys hic-up? Try opening a folder then View>Folder Options>File Type and messing about with the .all file type to reassign it to Cubase. Edit>Edit should allow u to set cubase as the default opening program.

transposing sheet music

Midi setup problem. Help Please!!

I have a Midi Translator 11 that I used to play my Yamaha PSR-79, along with Miracle Piano System 2.0. I have a Mac G3/400 beige and white with 192mb ram. I use to run 8.6 and recently installed 9.1. I had used the Piano System and decided to start playing again. I reinstalled it and hooked up my Midi 11., into my modem port and had all the proper connections but when I open my Piano software, it would play the introduction and then stop and all my menu selections would be grayed out. I noticed while the intro was playing that the green led (out) signals were being recognized but I cannot get the red led to come on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to use the program with all the extensions off but the midi manager but still no luck.

It doesn't exist. Even with my expensive hi-fi, it's difficult to track every note and every instrument that's being played/used in a song. Can you imagine the processing power required for a computer to do it?

The only way you can find out the score for a song is to find the printed music for it (if it exists).

You probably have the same version of MusicTime that I have. That happened to me the other day. All I did was to delete the whole program from the computer. Then, I reinstalled it. It works fine now. Try doing that. -Rachelle

Faster MP3 editor than CoolEdit 2000

Simple answer is...there isn't. A MIDI file contains data on which notes to play, which instrument to use to play them with and any other info required. There's no way to extract this data from a recorded song.

Midi Slide - Shows

Any Ideas??

I am a live sound engineer, working in Europe, usually doing shows before 5 -10K audiences. The equipment I always use, refined over the years to suit my needs, is essentially based on Midi.
I have a master controller, with a footswitch, (Memory Incrementation only ) which sends midi program-change messages to my sound desks (mutes, eq, etc.) and to my outboard gear ( reverbs, delays etc. ) The footswitch fires all the equipment with one or more cues per song. These cues are established early on in the production rehersals, and all the equipment is programmed at that time.
As you can imagine, the pacing of the shows can be modified between the rehersals and the first weeks of the tour, and sometimes every night!
So in my Midi controller (MEP4 Yamaha) I have 60 Memory scenes, and program the basic set list from 31 to 60 (eg. Memory 31= Midi Program 1...etc.)
These memorys are then copied to positions 1-30, (31-60 are never modified)

So if the pacing is changed, I write in a new sequence, copying from Memorys 31-60
to Memorys 1-30... eg. Memory 32 is copied to Memory 1, and Memory 31 to Memory Memory 2... so inversing the first two songs.

I use " Microsoft Powerpoint Office 2000" on my Mac G3 Laptop to create a slide show of "Cue Sheets" per song, and at the moment,
I have to :A. re-organise the slides for each new pacing,
B. advance the slides manually, using the
space- bar, or the enter key.
What I would really like, is to be able to assign a midi program number to each slide, and so, with a midi program-change via the footswich/controller, the slides would advance as per the new song list programmed into the MEP4.(1-30)
No more re-organising the slides, and both hands free to mix faders.

This would be the ideal, but if it is not possible to assign Midi Program numbers to each slide, then at least the possibility to write a program, macro, or script that could tell Powerpoint that the reception of any Midi message should equal Space-Bar, or "Enter" (I would still have to re-organise the slides)

I use Opcode OMS as a midi application, which runs in the background of all other apps, and uses the serial port Modem/Printer to a "Midi-Man". interface.

You can buy a book on it at <a href="http://www.musiciansbooks.com">this book store</a>. Honestly, the price of the book is a major score compared to what you'd pay for a course.

I read an article that a good software program to use is Nero burn 5.5 to copy/record from records/tape to cd.

There isn't any software specifically for this. All you need to do is connect your tape player to the line in on your sound card and use one of the many recording programs (e.g. Cool Edit) to record each track.

Have a look in the software section for masses of audio recording software.
