Hello there

It *is* possible. Anything is possible. But the chances are the download/record option has been disabled because the owner of the content doesn't want it recorded. Plus you could be breaking the law by circumventing the copy protection.

isolate tracks

I would like to isolate tracks (ie: drum, vocal, guitar) from store bought CD's. Is there anything out there that can do this job for me? This would help in band practices when the drummer doesn't show up you could play the pre-recorded track and still have a productive practice.

I have been trying to convert my MP3's to .wav format using Winamp but every time that I do, they end up having 0KB size (except for like 3 of them that only end up having 1/4 the song). You have to live with it. It's a kind of copy protection, BUT the program runs from harddisk.
I think it's only a key-check. If you don't believe me: Insert CD-ROM, start Rebirth, then you can remove the CD-ROM.
Recommendation: Backup your original CD-ROM !

"Add/Remove Programs", click the "Windows Setup" tab, select CD Player under
Multimedia for removal. Once it is removed you will need to go back
into Multimedia and select it for reinstallation. Please note that you
will need the Windows CD to be able to re-install CD Player.
