I had the same problem and as it turned out, it was not the just!burn software. The CD-ROM and CD-R/W was not set up properly on my computer. This was a factory glitch. The two CD drives were mastered and slaved improperly. Either follow the directions on hardware installation in your CD-ROM and CD-R/W installation guide or have someone who is knowledgeable look at your setup.

When we purchased opur computer----Cequadrat just Burn had been installed ----now all at once we no longer have just burn on our in our Computer ---Would you please write or call 650-593-6615 and tell me how I can get this back in my computer so i can do CD again ----Larry

I have the just!burn software as well. My computer is also a Presario. It sounds like we're having the same problem, because I keep coming up with an error when the CD is being finalized in just!audio. Have you found any solutions to your problem?

I can't get my cd to burn to play in a cd player other then my computer. Plus some cd have both audio and data files on them I need new software to record both. please email me back soon.

The manual for CeQuadrat tells you to format the disk first, that's a typo. Do not format the disk forst just go straight to just audio and start burning. That happened to me and now it works fine.

It burns the cd but when it is done it pops the isk out. When i try to play the disk it wont play. Yes i am talking about music cds. Sometimes the burner ill pop the cd out right in the middle of burning. Some one help me before i kill it!

I have the CeQuadrat also and it doesnt work either. It looks like it burns and does the whole segment but will not play on another computer and I find it very hard to get files from the source I want to.

The Manual for CeQuadrat is contained in the Help Files, which is located in the Program Files Folder. Right Click Start Button, click Explore, click on + at Program Files Folder. Find CeQuadrat Folder and click on + then click on + at Just Burn, next click on the Help Folder and the Manual Files will list in the right window. Click on any one to display and print it if you like. Remember that there cam be two Program Files Folders, try the first listed one initially thats where I located it. Also go to the Compaq Forum for answers and Tech Help. (Compaq.com) I have used the program for over a year and after some time spent learning I have not experienced any difficulties. As a tip: do not Format your blank CD's unless you intend to use the disk like you would your hard drive.

It's all in the format. Cequadrat works with .mp3 extension. Sometime you can take another audio extension (i.e. .wma [windows media audio] and play that song in real audio which will reformat the music into an mp3 song.

CeQuardrat problem - some songs not downloadable????

Why are some songs marked with a green "ok" and other songs marked with a "minus" and are not downloadable (i.e. I cannot drag them to the cd panel I am creating) This is happening on 1/3 or more of the songs I download. This is very frustrating. I cannot discern any difference in the mp3 files and there is no pattern to which songs will work and which won't while downloading

From experience. I bought 10 TDK CD's when I bought my CDRW and 1 of them worked. I blamed the CDRW for it naturally. Bought some cheap and cheerfuls because it was starting to ramp up the cost and they all work fine. You have been warned...!

Yes Stienberg are very good at their job indeed and if you can afford this impressive piece of kit then by all means. Have you tried the demo? The only way to see if an application 'is for you' is to spend some time with it. No matter how good a program is the user needs to be comfortable with it to produce the best results. However quality does matter and you don't get much better than Stienberg!

I recently downloaded a patch to allow my old Dos version of Finale to run in windows with full midi capabilities. It was loading fine up until recently. Now when I attempt to load it I get an "Out of local memory at 99" box appear. This will not go away until I click the X top right corner of the Finale page, then get another message "Out of local memory at 77". I click the OK. in this box and I'm returned to the desktop. WHY is this happening and can I re-configure my memory management in windows to rectify the problem?
I don't want to muck about with it if I dont need to, hence this call for help.

hard disk recorder problem - audio sync

I have an Akai hard disk recorder. When I play a song through it (Cakewalk; song has both MIDI and audio), the song plays fine. When I record the same song, though, the audio is not in sync. It seems to be consistently slow.

I've searched everywhere trying to find the right clues. I'm sure it has to do with clocking, but I can't find the answers I need. Right now I'm using MTC. I've tried using the Cakewalk internal clock, which is what seems to be what's needed when using audio with MIDI, but it doesn't work. That is, the hard disk recorder never fires. I can only get recording to work with MTC and then I have sync problems.

I'd sure appreciate advice/help.

The first passage of your message is a little confusing. I don't quite understand what you are playing "through" the Akai other than audio from the computer. I assume that you are trying to Sync the computer with the Akai using MTC. I would stick with MTC as it is usually quite solid. I suspect your problem lies elsewhere.

I run a Macintosh G4 running Logic Audio, sync'd via MTC to my VS880 and it's solid as a rock. I did have problems getting it working but it was generally pilot error. A couple if things to note.

My VS880 will not start playing from a MTC signal from the G4 unless I have selected MTC slave (EXT sync) and have set the Frame rate (FPS) the same as the master MTC device, (G4, Logic). Logic defaults to 25fps and the VS880 to 30fps. (I got stuck there for a while!) Check that Cakewalk is 'outputting' MTC at the same FPS over the correct Midi output. Try pressing play on the Akai, if it is ready for sync, the play light might flash in readyness. Look for any sign of Midi signals coming from the computer on the Akai to make sure it's making it there.

After doing all that, you may have to accept that there is a midi delay for some reason. Latency is often a problem in with computers and Midi in general. You may be a sufferer. Can't go further on such little information.

I am looking for a software program that permits the following: I want to be able to type lyrics and above the lyrics, I want to be able to put in guitar chord diagrams from anywhere on the fretboard, not just open position chords. For example, I'd like to print the lyrics to a song and where there is a B7 chord, I'd like to be able to choose a guitar chord diagram that either starts on the 1st fret or the 7th. Does anyone know of such a program?? Thanks. Doc

BUT something went wrong when installing the VXD and now there is a stack overflow problem when I start up and it has a windows protection error. it says I need to remove the vxd's but I dont know which ones they are or where to find them.
