All you need to do is download <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/n-Track_studio/">n-Track Studio</a> and then
plug your guitar into your soundblaster. n-Track
can also record as many tracks as your computer
can handle (like a 4-Track tape machine only better).

Dude download you a copy of ADOBE AUDITION its a 120 track recording software get it from Kazaa and you'll be in heaven and also get Fruity Loops so you can create drum loops.

first of all you need to make shure the program is combatable with the cpu you are using
second check to see if you need a new sound recorder.
the one on the cakewalk could be interfering with the recorder the cpu came with triggering a common saftey shutoff of all other recording devices overall allowin no sound to be processed throug the program. the same thing happened to me when i down loaded studiopro and wavelab 2.0. but your system could verrt well be diffrent

I have Cakewalk 9.0, however, I had a similair problem and fixed it myself. Try going to options, then MIDI devices. Make sure your sound card synth is selected and at the top of the MIDI output ports list.

I have this sweet soundblasterLive sound card and a bunch of programs like Cakewalk and soundforge, but I can't record with a mic. I don't know if I don't have the right programs or if I am just not doing it right. Could anyone help me?

If I were you I would plug a CD player into the input of you Sound Card and then work out the software program you decide to use. (If you have cakewalk then you have a serious piece of Audio Multitracking software)

Play a CD and try and select the input in Cakewalk after setting up a track and enabling the record until you can hear it. It's less embarrassing than Chanting "one two...one two..." with the mouse in the other hand desperately trying to make sense of the software. It's toooo difficult to explain what this entails with such a complex piece of software.

What do you want to record with you Microphone?? If your just dictating then find a simple audio recording package, (there are probably loads on this site...shareware...) you'll probably get quicker results...

HI
I'm using Winamp v2.10 and this is how I convert MP3 files to WAV with it without any problem:
1)Go to the Options menu en select Preferences.
2)Go to Plug-Ins and select Nullsoft Disk Writer Plug-IN
3)Choose your target folder by double clicking on the plug-in or clicking Configure.
4)Close the window and open your MP3 files in Winamp. When you click "Play" it converts the MP3 files to WAV files just like that.

Please help with Winamp

I recently installed winamp and I am having a problem playing music Cd's using it. When I put a CD in the drive, Winamp opens automatically and it appears to start playing (the playlist comes up and the timer starts going up.) However, I hear nothing. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem because Cds play fine through MS CD player. Also, Winamp plays mp3's with no problems at all. Does anyone have any idea what the trouble could be? Thanks.

If the midi file was recorded using individual tracks, then most of the sequencing software out there would allow you to "mute" the tracks you don't want to hear or "solo" the tracks you only want to hear. Mastertracks Pro is one such program

Take a look at Megafont (Megota Software).
I use an external keyboard midi'd up to the PC and scroll down the list of soundfonts with the cursor keys while playing the keyboard. Real quick!

I know that there is software which can remove vocals from some music, so is it possible to do this process in reverse: i.e., does software exist which can reatain the vocals, but attenuate or lose the music - and if so... Where is it!?

Need IMAGEHLP.DLL

I bought WaveLab3.0 audio editing software from Steinberg and installed it, but when I try to launch it, I get this error message:

A required .DLL file, C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IMAGEHLP.DLL was not found.

Steinberg is thus far no help. If anyone has this file in their Windows Systems directory, it would be greatly appreciated if you would copy it and send it to me as an e-mail attachment.

IF YOU NEED LHLOGR.DLL CHECK www.geocities.com/darthmorty , it stands there in the list

Thanks for the tip about obtaining a replacement
copy of imagehlp.dll from expanding the file
named Win98_32.cab on the Windows 98 First
Edition CD. I just installed an updated
anti-virus program, which accidentally deleted
my imagehlp.ddl file, which caused some of my
programs to stop working. I very glad I could
get it replaced!!!!
