Hiphop Ejay
i'm looking for a plug-in or program that i can download to help me find more riffs and samples for hiphop ejay.
I can not for the life of me publish a wma or an asf
HOw in the world do you find the code or script to put asf or wma files on your web pages? Does it matter if you use the decoder or the publisher? I am just sick and tired of looking for the script? I've looked all over and I simply can not find the scripts?
It's done the same way that you publish a picture file.
You are trying way too hard. All you need is a HTML link to a public file that exists on a public server in a public directory. For example,
<AHREF="http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Hollow/5723/brig.wav">http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Hollow/5723/brig.wav</A>
Also, there is an "embed" HTML command to embed a sound file into a page without using a visible link. Ask a web designer.
dvd player with karaoke?
I just got a CD/DVD player with a karaoke feature (2 mic inputs) and a mp3 decoder. I bought a Karaoke CD at Wallmart but I don't see the words on the screen. My question is this.. Can I get Karaoke music somewhere that does show the words via my DVD player and/or can I get mp3+g music that will show the words or can I get software some where that will allow me to do so if I make my own CDs? I wasn't really interested in this feature (Karaoke) but the kids have had a blast with the one cd I have THANKS

USB midi trouble on Mac G4
Any Mac users experiencing this: Using a Keyspan USB to serial adapter connected to a Midi Timepiece, midi runs fine until I use audio plugins on audio tracks. After about 3 plugins are open, midi dissappears, and I have to quit my sequencer(Digital Performer 2.72), unplug the keyspan adapter, plug it back in and relaunch my sequencer. Midi is fine again for about 10 minutes.
Re:did you check how much ram your plugs use ?!
It sounds like you do not have enough cpu power to use your plug ins i use logic and thats the only problem i experienced with the
plug ins!?
Midisport
I have used USB for Midi on a G4 using a Midiman Midisport 2 x 2 for a couple of years (ish) and it has never given me any problems at all. Serial to USB or visa versa is always going to be a problem with some hardware. Spend the money on a decent USB interface and you will be sorted.
I take the point though on the USB issues with midi but all (but one) of the people I have spoken to on USB and Midi with a Mac (G4) have had no problems.
Your problem sounds like a driver issue... Sometimes USB drivers stop working. I have found this with keyboards and mice one occasion.

Steve...R
USB sucks
Your problem is two-fold.
1) USB isn't really fast and wide enough for serious audio data transfer, and complex MIDI data is also too much for USB on a typical computer (, one not yet optimized and minimalized for just audio and MIDI).
2) plug-ins consume lots of memory and can sometimes require lots of CPU time (processor attention).
You will need to use your RAM more wisely. This means installing more hardware RAM, turning off ALL unneeded extensions, control panels, and control strip modules. You will probably need to deliberately remove them from your system folder in order to fully deactivate them. Also, you should set your monitor resolution to the lowest setting you and your audio programs can tolerate. Set your screen size to something as small as is practical, and remove any and all unneeded Fonts. Basically, you will need to optimize your computer for audio. It's a pain in the ass, but it always yields results if you take a serious approach.
Be sure to read all of the manuals and read-me files you can think of pertaining to your audio and midi programs and anything you have running while you try to do audio.
To really keep a system stable, you need to make sure all of the separate parts cooperate with each other. The fastest way to do this is to get rid of everything that could possibly cause trouble and get back to work. Another tip: DONT USE AMERICA ONLINE OR NETSCAPE. These overload your system with junk!!!!
Download iCAB for a seriously easier web browser which can save your system.
Actually, the old Apple serial port is a lot easier to use with a cheap old MIDI adapter. You can get them for like 10 bucks now used if you look around carefully. Then again, if you haven't got a serial port, then you should be as angry as iMac owners were when they discovered that they didn't have a floppy diskette drive.

how to burn a cd.....
I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to burn songs i have downloaded off the internet and put them on a cd.... i have a cd burner and a cd i also have the songs i want to put on there in a file on my computer. Does anyone know how to do this? If you can help me please reply. TY for your time, sincerly yours forever, Sierra Turner from hotmail.com
Re: how to burn a cd.....
All you need to do is make sure all your songs are in WAV format (if not, there are lots of programs available which will convert just about any format). Then you'll need a program to burn them onto a CD (Nero Burn, Easy CD Creator...there are lots more).
Have a browse through the software section.

FruityLoops Blues - Let's Get Together
Hi all
I'm new to music on PC, trying my hand at FruityLoops. It's pretty cool, but since my version is from a friend, I don't have access to any support.
Anyone out there using it wanna share info/manuals/stuff like that? The hours I've spent on it are pretty isolating even if I'd had full support, so I reckon it'd be good for us users outside the official Frutiy kingdom to get together somewhere online and chat about it.
I'm particularly confused about recording real time. The poxy mini-manual I have is just plain wrong about recording: it don't work the way they say.
So, anyone up for it, drop me a line - if I get a few responses we could maybe start a chat group or board for us.
Background on me: male, 27, real name Justin, DJ under MuthaPhucChop name (yep, chosen cos it's ridiculous). I'm into dub, electronica (especially funky Howie B and other Pussyfoot label stuff), techno and a big brekbeat fan. I play guitar, drums and some cello. Live with and hang out with awesome percussionists & other muso's, who once I get my computer shit together I'll be collaborating with. I reckon fuck the capitalist politics of wealth and privelege, and I'm into sharing the s/ware I've got. Never beyond the extent of the law, of course!
Hope to hear,
MPC

Justin said: "I reckon fuck the capitalist politics of wealth and privelege."
Yes, that's very good coming from someone with enough wealth and privilege to get onto the Internet. Very clever eh?
FruityLoops is a great program and it's not THAT expensive compared to some of the other music-making tools out there. Just stop buying stick mags for a month or something.
There are a few decent FLoops users groups on the Net. You'll find them if you do a start in Google, Yahoo Clubs and Groups.
But, just do the intelligent thing and pay for the bloody software.

Skipping whiiel recording
I have Pentium 233 MHz with 64 MB ram. I have two drives (CD and CD-R). When I ty to record directly from an audio CD to CD-R drive, the recording is skipping. What should I do? Do I need to convert all the audio tracks to WAV and save on HDD, and then record or increase memory or any other way out ther?
Thanks for the help,
Echo cho cho ho ho o o
I'm a novice entry to the music software bit. I've just acquired Quartz Audiomaster which seems a good starter for me but need to know:
Any idea how I can introduce a bit of echo/reverb to an audio track ? Quartz only seems to have this facility on midi tracks.
Thanks
Ken
Re: Echo cho cho ho ho o o
for audio tracks u use DX effects i think and QA has a whole bundle! Have u had a cursory look at the manual?
Re: Echo cho cho ho ho o o
Thanks Jon
I've found some stuff by ferreting around the help section. I'll check out if thats the same as you suggest. I've not got a manual other than what's in the Help menu . Is that what you meant?
