Using Cubasis AV with a Roland E-68

I have the correct midi cables. However, can you give me some step-by-step info on how I can record on Cubasis AV, using my Roland E-68. I know how to use the actual software program, but I don't know how to get the keyboard and computer communicating! Is there something I have to adjust on the keyboard or program?

Thank you for your help

Regards

Tammy

NEEDS HELP WITH HOTBURN v 1.2.1

I was wondering if someone could help me with my uninstallation process with Hotburn v1.2.1. I obviously went to add/remove programs file in the control panel, BUT it told me that it couldn't locate the installation log file 'c:\UNINST.ISU'. I was considering just dling the program Hotburn v 1.2.1 again, but everytime I try to search for this version my search engines can only get me v2.11. If someone can get me to the site that I can dl v1.2.1 that will fully appreciated. This way I can dl the program over my other version and retrieve the lost log file, which will hopefully allow me to remove the program all together. But if someone has any other advice that will DEFINITELY appreciated as well... THANK YOU! ~*Becky*~

Re: NEEDS HELP WITH HOTBURN v 1.2.1

Why not go to the website and ask their people what the problem is.

voice radio effect

Hi!!
Where I can find a VST plug in that simulate a radio effect(like the old vintage radio) for the voice???
(I'm sorry for english but i'm Italian...)
Thank u
Alex

I don't know if any specific...

... pluggins that do that although you may want to experiment with Eq and LPF/HPF's (Low pass filter/High pass filter). A telephone line I believe, generally has a Bandwidth of 3-5khz so everything either side of that bandwidth could be cut off using a LPF/HPF. I don't know the bandwidth of an old radio and lets face it, the sound of the radios speaker and cabinet will have a sound of it's own which should be considered.

You could record some AM (amplitude modulation) noise from the radio with a Mic (between stations...) and then combine that with a severely filtered voice of your own to acheive the effect. Most quality creators will make the effort to experiment 'outside' of the confines of the computer screen as this is often the best way...

Best wishes

Use Winamp, you have to select a setting in de
Winamp setup. Works great.
As far as I know CDex can also do the job.

Password on a Dell notebook CSx

Hi all,
I need help, I bought a second hand Dell notebook CSx and I can't boot it because of a stupid password.

If someone know hoe to do it, Email-me

Thank

Charles

Re: Password on a Dell notebook CSx

I took care of dell latitude note books when I was in the Navy, we totally disassembled one trying to kill the password in the bios, you can't do it... call dell... they should have a master password key to reset the bios.

Anybody noticed this strange error in SF Acid?

Hey all,
I've recently noticed what seems to be an error in Sonic foundry's Acid products. When you record audio into it and it automatically quantizes it to to the beats of each measure, this is an exellent feature (probably why every body likes it so much) - but what I've noticed is that in doing so it also creates this very strange, and obviously unintended vibrato effect. I'm not entirely sure if this is effecting the pitch or amplitude or perhaps both, it's fairly subtle yet audible enough to be an annoyance. The samples I've been using are very close to the tempo of the time line so the program shouldn't need to do any heavy processing yet it still sticks out.I can't seem to find any reference to it in any of their lit. I'd be curious to know if anybody else has noticed this

Re: Anybody noticed this strange error in SF Acid?

: yes i know what you r saying....its like a flange ...its annoying.
if anyone knows how to get rid of it plze mail me...

Re: Anybody noticed this strange error in SF Acid?

I know what causes this.
Once you recorded your track, select the properties tab at the bottom right of the screen, and then click on the colored icon on the left of the track in question.
Now, down at the bottom left it displays all the attributes of that track, beit a loop, hard disk recording or a "one shot". From there make sure you DE-SELECT the 'stretch to tempo'. I believe it is set to do so by default.

Hope that helps.

Re: Anybody noticed this strange error in SF Acid?

Actually that is a mickey mouse way of fixing this.. its simple. when youre about to record a track you get the record window, there is an option of "make recording follow project tempo" all you have to do is uncheck this box. simple. easy and straight forward.

your software really sux big time

i tryed to make a cd full of my favorite songs oh...maybe 5 times and YOUR software stopped recording the tracks in the middle of the cd each and every time i tryed to use it. your software really sux and i suggest you revise it thoroughly next time because i am probably not the first unsatisfied customer. -Alexis-

Re: your software really sux big time

If you can't even tell the software's name you are using, then what we can say about you? Maybe you are the lammer... Usually those users start blame others first and don't even think that first of all you must name your problems clear, and solutions will come then. Think about it.
