my mp3 player supports only joilet or iso 9660 mp3 format

my mp3 audio system (philips) supports only joliet or ISO 9660 (8.3)FORMAT. My older mp3 CDs are not running . How i can convert those files to these mp3 (joliet or ISO)formats.
if i simply rename my file in 8.3 format (having only alphabets or numerals), will it do ?

OK, reading music for drums isn't that hard since you dont have any notes to follow just the rythem and the tpye of intrument you are hitting. One cannot successfully teach another how to read music online trough a text box so get someone you know to! ITS NOT THAT HARD!

Old music time files

I have not used my old software (Passport Music Time, Version 1) for some time. I would like to resume composing and take advantage of previous work. My old Music Time ran with Windows 3.1 on a 386 processor but will not run on my present computer. My present computer is a Dell /Pentium II 96 MB RAM, 8 GB Hard Drive, HP 880C Deskjet Printer, Windows 98 Ver 4.10.1998.
Is there any music notation software that will run on my present computer and read my old .MUS files? If not, do you have any suggestions? It has been suggested that I convert the .MUS files to midi and almost any software will read them but that is not good because it loses lyrics and added notations.

OK How do I record my LP's onto my PC. Yes I know I need a sound card, got that but I need a converter to MP3 format do I so that I can record my records and tapes onto hard disc? What software should I install?

Soundedit 16 files

I'm supposed to come up with a cd for this guy in the next couple of days. I've got months worth of guitar stuff logged on cd as Soundedit 16 files, but for some reason Toast refuses to burn SE 16 aiffs... Is there some program that gets along with toast that could convert my SE files. I know soundedit sucks, but I'm not sure what other free (this is the important part, I don't have a spare $800) software would be better to use for multitrack recording. Any advice would be vastly apprecieated :) thanks

Hi

I Just bought cubase for my G4. I have a steinberg usb midi box. I can't get a midi input ! Also when I playback, The notes just play at random?? If I play back using quicktime as the output, it is fine!

If anybody has an answer, please let me know.
