and whilst i was flicking one day
i noticed an article going on `bout wav to midi and vice versa

you can do midi to wav-as i myself do that
but there is no known way to me and to the mag

I'm looking for software in which I can create my own custom sounds (drums, effects, neat sounds) I would like to take these sounds and create a song with them at the same time maybe add these beats to an existing song. I've looked through some of the software on this site but I can't seem to find anything that does this, can someone please help me out.. thanks.

after using napster, 98/98se fails shutdown

AKAI CDROM to PC conversion.

Does anybody know of a PC (Win'98) program that can allow AKAI CDROM samples to be read on a PC??
Such sample files could then be translated by the AWAVE STUDIO program or similar for use as audio or soundfont samples. Any ideas??? Anybody???

There's a few programs you will find good for this
right here on this site:

i was directed to 'akaidisk' that converts akai
samples to pc and pc to akai in most akai formats.
i was using my a: drive but i suppose you can select the cd drive.
available fron the akai website or maybe somewhere
here.........

When i record wavs of myself on a computer and then mix my voice in with a beat the file turns out HUGE...is there any way i can make the file smaller?

make sure you are not recording in stereo (a mono source)...choose a lower sampling rate...use pieces of a vocal performance instead of the whole thing.
