What format ARE they? chances are you can convert them to wav format with the appropriate software.

If not, your only choice is to burn them to CD in their current format, and you would only be able to play them on a computer with a player which plays that format. as for converting, to burn as CD Audio, the wav files must be 44Khz Stereo, and if the ones you have are not equivalent, they can be re-sampled.

Try this, I haven't used it myself but it is supposed to allow you to capture streaming media to the harddrive. Then you can do what you want with it.

: I bought a used cd from a coworker about a year ago, It played great till a couple of weeks ago. Now it just stays on each track about 5 seconds and goes to next one, with NO sound. So, I bough a new copy of same CD, AND IT WON'T PLAY EITHER!!! WHY? No other cd has ever done that, just this one!!! Why same cd, new and used both, by same artist won't play??

I had trouble playing certain cd's. All of a sudden some tracks wouldn't be played or just up to a certain point. I tried those cd's in an other player and it worked fine. Then I opened up my cd player and cleaned the lens of the laser very carefully and after that the cd's would play without any problem like they always had done before. I'm not sure why trouble occurred just with those specific cd's, but I think some of them simply might be of a lesser quality allowing these things to happen when the laser isn't working properly.

Downloads from Internet Explorer 6.0.26 wouldn't run, but Netscape 6.2.1 downloaded them after asking whether they were exe files. Ran fine. Internet Explorer must be appending some wrong stuff to the downloaded exe files.
