I started having this problem with downloads, it started after I changed from Internet explorer 5.5 to 6.0. Could this be the prob? Are you guys who are having the same problem using 6.0?

Well, I am into those "The Sims" games and when I went to go click on the icon for it, it said that what I downloaded was not a valid Win32 application. And I am confused! Please Help!!!

I'm using ie6. I think it's a corrupt file. I’ve done virus check from DOS, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a virus. I’ll be glad when someone finds the answer and posts it.

I also get this error message when running SWAT3 by Sierra, installed from an original CD. The program will run ok for a couple of days, then starts with the error nonsense and I have to reinstall it. Any ideas?

try reinstalling or updated driver for your cd-rom
as for others getting the same error message u need to be more specific what type of program?

Does anyone know how to decrescendos and fermatas on the 01W/fd. the only way that I can do it is to totally ignore the metronome clock. When I do that, my timing is all out of sync. Is there a way to slow todwn the clock over time in sequencer mode to be able to do fermatas and ritards(or accelerandos?). Also, is there a solution yet on the 01Wfd to switching voices in a live performance and not getting a gap in between the switch. Every time I change voices in a live performance, I have to wait a second until the new voice parameter kicks in. this is very annoying and inh8ibits creativity.

I've never seen a way to slow down the clock - the
only solution I've ever used is to get the timing
out of snyc with the bars as you suggested but
bring it back in time at a specific point, say 16
bars later so that every thing is back to normal
from then on.

For changing voices live the best solution is to
set up separate patches for each song that have
all the voices you need for that song in one patch
so you only need to change patches in between songs.

For playing live, I bought a midi keyboard to play my secondary, or split patches during a song. There were too many times the voice didnt change and I would still be playing a sax part instead of the piano and so on... Kinda like Jordon Rudess (Dream Theater), who does the same trick and is an excellent keyboard player, but on the live CD's you can hear him with the patch changes, which to me, doesnt sound that great. P.S. You may have the version 1 of the 01w. If you do, that particular boards OS was slower that the later releases. There are forums for korg that will explain how to check versions.

Hi there,

I can't remember the technical term for the cord. What I do know is that it is relatively inexpensive. Prices are always hard to guess as you haven't indicated where you're from or whether you want to buy the cord online. My advice is to go to an electronics store and see what the story is.

The cord you need is RCA to mini jack. They are very cheap you should be able to get it from
a stereo supply shop or Radio Shack. The quality will depend on your sound card and tape recorder.

screeching noise when extracted

When using audio grabber to xtract cd track.save as wav file. I playback wav file and it just sounds like a mouse being fucked by a train instead of the tune i want extracted.

CDmaster32 allows you to take any MP3 file and convert it to an WAV file.

Macster don't work

Hi,
Is Napster / Macster shut down? I have tried to download both several times. On Macster, I get an invalid password error. On Rapster, I get only a partial download of the beta program. I am running an imac with OS 9.04. I am sorry if this was discussed in prior messages, but I looked an did not see it. If Macster / Rapster is essentially defunct for new customers due to their pending lawsuit or other problems, does anyone know of a comparable site? Thanks,

Hello,

Just a few days ago I was listening to some midi. I left shortly and came back and it sounded different. I have 2 main output ports. Yamaha OPL2/OPL3 Synthesis and MIDI Mapper. MIDI Mapper was my best sounding port. Now all the midi I play sounds like that crappy Yamaha OPL2/OPL3 Synthesis port. When I go to change the port to MIDI Mapper it sounds like the Yamaha OPL2/OPL3 Synthesis port. Some thing has happened!!!
This has happened not only in Cakewalk but in my entire computer. MIDI mapper was so life-like in comparison to the Yamaha. I want Midi mapper back. My question is how can I get it back?!?!

recording wav to cd

after converting some mp3's to wavs I burned them on a cd.They play fine on my computer's cd rom but when I put the cd in my Sony audio player it comes up with the "NO DISC" message. Any ideas about why it won't recognise the data? Many thanks for any help.

You will have to convert the file to AIFF.
Then it will work on (almost) any cd-player.

i dont know if im right but you have to get software to convert the mp3 file to .cda and i know if you look at a cd on your computer it ends in cda but i have no idea where to get software to convert mp3 filz to cda.
