Get the special software like "PTS audio cd mp3 creator"
You can succsessful burn all your mp3´s down to CD.
Any more questions.....So write me under my MailID.

New versions of winamp come with a plugin that writes .wav directly to your HD from the mp3 files you play

Music Publisher is very easy to learn. Have a look at www.muspub.com where the evaluation copy can be downloaded too.

Try Capella 2000. It's a German program, very easy to use and you can download a demo copy from http://www.software-partners.co.uk

Surround Sound

I recently got an Altec/Lansing surround sound system for my computer, but I don`t have surround sound applications, such as a DVD. Mostly, I`ll use it in a stereo application to play CDs and with a downloaded audio player that is stereo also. Since I use it in this manner, the only way I know to get all four speakers working is through the use of a wye connector plugged into the green jack of the sound card in the back of the computer. I`ve been told that no output will come from the remaining black output jack, unless my input to the computer is provided with a surround sound application. This works good in the stereo application, but I would like to find a way feed the input in such a manner as to get the black output jack to produce stereo and/or a remixed version that would make it sound similar to surround sound. My soundcard is a Soundblaster PCI128, and I have already checked the box in the four speaker application in the preferences tab, but it still won`t get the other two speakers working. My processor is 700Mhz, and I have 256Mhz of RAM. I have also contacted technical support for Soundblaster, and they told me to get the Microsoft Direct Sound program. I tried to locate that program, but without results. Can you address these problems and come up with a simple, cost effective solution?

The DirectSound application can be found
on microsoft's website. You can't miss it
if you try this link:

Also, sonic foundry has an application called
"SoftEncode 5.1" which creates surround sound
tracks. It's quite expensive but I think they
have a demo version on their site which maybe
allows you to preview what you're making in
surround. You could check that out:

Mi problem is a last time ago question. That is my problem:
I can´t open a different bank from pinnacle board to cakewalk. I know
how I must do with cakewalk, but I only can play GM sound from the
pinnacle syntetyzers. I had readen manual information about how to do
it, but I can´t find the solution.
I could save two user banks, but I couldn´t opened it in Cakewalk.
That is the question. Why?
please , help me. I had asked this question to many people, but lot of
sound cards here are Sound Blaster and they only can help me in
questions about Vienna but neither about Pinnacle.

MUSICMATCH ! take a look at the site

for discussion and download link.
I would recommend choosing the option that allows a hard drive cache for the file conversion before writing, rather than converting and writing directly to the CD-R disk. I had some skips writing directly, but I was also burning at 6x speed. At 2x and cache enabled the burn was flawless !

recording internet radio broadcasts

Can anyone tell me how to record internet "real time" broadcasts to my hard drive? Ultimately I would like to be able to time-record weekly internet radio shows, then burn to a cd. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Macintosh program called Amp Radio which logs on to literally hundreds of radio stations and you can even broadcast your own quite simply. On the control bar you can hit record and it dumps it as an MP3 onto the desktop. I think there was some word of a Windows version but you would have to check for yourself.

Hey check out skyhawktech.com $25 bucks and it does all the recording for you and conversion.

Hey Michel... I don't know that synth you're
talking about, but the solution is definitely
something like a "bank change" command. The
thing with MIDI is that it is very device/brand
specific but if your synth is slightly Roland
compatible (a lot of 'em are) it is done
using continuous controller #00.

Simple example: if you want to access bank 01
instead of the standard 00 (GM) bank you should
go to the cakewalk event-list and add a
controller event. Something like this:

controller: 00 value: 01

If this doesn't work then check your synth's
manual and look for the words "bank change". It
should mention a controller number and a value.

Thanks, Jarjar, but i know how to do with external syntethyzers (I´m learned few time ago an it easy) but I can´t do it with internal sintethyzer, Pinnacle internal S.
I wish to know how to do it. For ex. Soun Blaster must open the bank out of cakewalk, and them, you can open it easy in Cake, but in my sound card is...I don´t know.

Hey... to Cakewalk it makes no difference
whether a synth is internal or external. It's
all MIDI. So it has to work in a similar way.

Just check out the documentation that came with
your synth and look for the MIDI-Implementation
Chart. (All midi devices that I know of have one)
And look for "Bank Select" in the category
usually called "Control Change". Most synths
use either CC#00 or CC#32 (or both) to
select alternate banks.

Sample CDs

I'm new to the electronic music scene. Can someone tell me how to use CDs of samples so I can get better sounds than my synth provides? Do I need a sampler to use them, or can I load them directly into Cubase and assign them to various tracks from there? Either way, how do I do it and what do I need? Also, what are some potential problems with samples? Is there a limit on the duration of a note I can create with them or...? Thanks.
