I don't think there is any kind of software "conversion", but if you have a duplex sound card you can play .ra and record .wav on your hard drive. Otherwise, you will have to play the .ra and record on tape, then play the tape into your sound card and record .wav on your hard drive. Some programs such as Band in a Box (ver 9) and

sound forge or cool edit can do this for you.

what you need to do is change the tempo, not the pitch.

Wouldn't speeding up the track but not the vocals get your vocals and music out of sync?

If you'd like to change the speed of the whole track (including vocals) without changing the pitch, this is something you can do in Sound Forge or Cool Edit. Otherwise I don't think you can "separate" the vocals from the rest of the music and just speed up the music.....

OK, you want to speed up the rate of the backing track, but leave the vocals over the top of it the same....? Sorry, but unless you have them on separate tracks (ie one wav/mp3 for backing + one for vocals) then this ain't gonna happen. The best you can do is try and eq the file so that you lose the vox from it, and then do the same to get rid of the music, but this will just sound like shit so you'd best not expect too much. Sorry to have to break it to you. why not just try and re-record it in a multitracker/sequencer?

Use time-stretch recurse in Cool Edit Pro or Sound Forge.
also use SampleCalc to calculate of your new tempo

for everything you need to play Midi-Kareoke (.kar) files. I've searched, but have never been able to find a software player that will play the CD-Kareoke disks that "the pros" use at parties, bars, etc. Still, the .kar format is fun. Enjoy.

I need a software capable of converting MIDI songs into their respective measures and tabs....for
guitar...
Something similar to a software call COMP-G-TAB which is very good but I am having problems
contacting the owner to buy it from him.
It's got to be something that gives the actual TAB for guitar and not the music sheet for piano or any
other instrument as the majority of Midi Editor does.
