Dear Sirs,
The files recorded via DARTPRO98 can not be opened through other software. The files are said to be Advanced Wave Files, & so they can not be proccessed by other softwares. I want to record the speech sounds and to draw the spectogram, but the software GRAM can not process the files recorded by DARTPRO98. I chose DARTPRO98 for the sound recorded through is much clear than other softwares.
Please help me in this regard, i need to have a good recording for drawing graphs.

Is there a wave recorder that will record to a new file when it detects a silence (of set duration/amplitude)? This would be a handy utility for separating tracks from an audio tape for recording to CD-R.

Copy protect a audio cd? Possible?

Is there a way to copy protect an audio cd?

This is to prevent people from burning the cd at home using a cd-r? but they should still be able to listen to the music in a normal cd-player? Is all this possible? A new format perhaps?

Try MPAction jukebox that should do it for you.

I am in the market for a multitrack editor/seuencer, and I was wondering what is the best one out there? I have heard of Cubase, Cool edit pro, and Cakewalk... which is the best? are there others I should consider? Any help is appreciated.

SBLive! MIDI trouble

I have a PC AMD/K6-3 with soundblaster live and a synth Yamaha SY77. Midi is already working but in a quite bothering way!
The playback (PC to Synt) has no problems but when I play my synth a few events are lost (some notes keep hold and others don't sound).
I know my synth is working OK because I used to work with an old 486 and I never had problems.
Do you have any idea about where the problem is and how can I fix it?

HELP PLEASE: Cakewalk 9 Tools Menu and Wavelab 3

After installing Wavelab 3 I ran Cakewalk 9 and selected an audio
clip. I then went to Cakewalk's Tools menu and -- just like I always
did with Wavelab 2 -- selected Wavelab. Wavelab 3 opened **but** it
was empty -- the audio clip apparently was not read into Wavelab!
BTW, I never had this problem with Wavelab 2...

I retried again & again. I rebooted more than once. I uninstalled
Wavelab and reinstalled.

Conversion of Real Audio Files

I have some audio files of type .ram(I think they
are streaming real audio files : size shows 1 KB).
I want to convert them to .ra files which may be around
900 KB(The original audio content file).
May I know are there any free available software
