Merging 2 or more wavs into one MP3

I have Easy Cd Creator and MMJukebox for converting
wav to MP3 but I don´t know a way to merge 2 or more
wavs into one MP3, to eliminate gaps between tracks.

try getting a copy of cool edit pro and drop your wav files into the multitrack editor. from there you can mix down all your tracks into one sound file. then convert to mp3, it's that easy

Hi,

To join the 2 wavs what you have to do is head over to: http://www.freewareweb.com/

and then go to their freeware archive and then multimedia tools, and look for a wav editor to combine the 2 wavs, but I think sound recorder does it as well btw.

Anyway, hope this solves your problem - have a look at the site anyway, they have some good music stuff that I use, specially the newsletter is quite good.

Combining two Cubase Songs?

Is there a way of combining two Cubase songs? I want to keep the audio Multitrack, and not have to combine them as stereo mixes and then export audio agiain to another stereo mix.

The way that I do this is through my outboard mixing desk back into the pro ISIS interface.
Make sure you have the monitor section in the
console 8/4 turned down to avoid feedback loops.
I havent tried just patching the outputs 1 &2 to inputs 1& 2 but this should also work if you dont own a desk

On the AUDIO MIXER click on BOUNCE on the MASTER output. This will create a stereo WAV file that you can then burn onto CD. You may need to do some things in the SAMPLE EDIT and VIEW AUDIO windows as well. Hope this helps!

Changes in volume with different mp3's

I have my mp3's at the same frequency 44.1 and at the same bitrate 192 , yet there still seems to be some difference in sound and was wondering if it is possible to correct. Also what is the best things to do to your mp3's to make them sound good,crisp and clear

I'm curious to know what setting, app and codec you'd recommend for spoken word recordings. What's your take on the optimum for on-line distribution (so small files, yet high quality). We're currently using 32kbps for starters...

I'm looking for a program that will let me write sheet music.
I don't need anything high tech. I only want to put words and music on a page. I would settle for being able to type lyrics under a staff and mark out measures and chords to give the band the basic outline of a song in an easy to read form. Looking at the software available I feel as though I am shopping for a slingshot in a storer full of laser guided rockets.

CD mixing software

I would like to copy music from a music CD onto hard drive, mix it in with other music and then re-record it onto CDR to create my own mixed compilations. I'm sure there must be software about that will do this but I cannot find any. Could someone point me in the right direction?

download the Music match Jukebox, this will record the cd's to hard drive as mp3's, if you connect to the internet it will automatically put the tiles of the songs in then records them.

for your mixing, I haven,t tried this yet but am testing soon.hope this helps.

Why bother over-complicating mixing music through software. Try buying 2 cd mixing decks, a mixer, frequency eliminator (kill-switch unit)and a sample unit (with pitch bend). Then, put in about 6 months practice every night then buy an automanous CDR and re-record. Its great! You get to use your brain and learn a unique skill, rather than try and rely on software which wont really teach you anything.

Definitely go for Digidesign's Audiomedia III
card. You've got a G3, so that's the best partner!

There are tons of sound cards out there. I suggest finding one that can support what the future holds for the digital audio world...like higher sampling rates and what not. If you would like to check Keyboard magazine and look for back issues on mac soundcards for a budget studio.
