Emu has a new product out, has anyone tried it????

There new product is called the emu audio production studio. If you have tried it or know something about it, like how dose it rank with the big guys then please let me know. I need a product that I can record vocals as well as my keyboard sequences on.

AUDIO PRODUTION STUDIO (not the audio creation studio)..
If you could please advise Which home studio is better.

need program to make cover art/sleeve inside jewel case

I have a tape of my orginal music, and a friend is going to burn it into a cd for me, however i need to design the cover art, and sleeve, and all the papers inside the jewel case. If someone could tell me what program would do this, and where i might aquire it, i would really appreciate it. I also have paintshop pro, if anyone could tell me how many pixels to make the cover art image, i think that might work. I have nothing to trade for this information, i am hoping someone will just help me out. Thanks

I have a website that I built with Microsoft FrontPage 98. I am trying to find out what software I could download or buy that I could copy songs off of my music cd's to upload onto my website to play as music while people are looking at my pages. I have tried a couple of programs I have found but none of them do what I need them too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mac: Sound edit 16 or Peak
PC: Soundforge or Wavelab

You should get a program that can convert sample rates. I also highly recomend using MP3's. Most of that software is free...look at www.mp3.com for how to's.

Hi,

How about including tabla, pakhawaj or tanpura tracks in your compositions? You don't know any of these instruments? That's no longer a problem. SwarShala version 1.0 lets you create custom wave and midi files for most Indian drums to be loaded in any sequencer and combined with your music. Check out some samples at http://www.swarsystems.com/TaalWizard.

The software comes with a good amount of ready to use patterns, and more of them will be posted monthly at http://www.swarsystems.com/TaalWizard/TaalCafe.htm.

SwarShala is a shareware program. Try a free copy at http://www.swarsystems.com.

I am also thinking of releasing a CD with a library of Indian drums tracks. If you would rather be interested in such ready made items, just send me a mail at TaalTrax@swarsystems.com and I will keep you informed when the CD is released.

If you'd like,I can convert any vinyl album to Dolby quality CD.I use filtering software that cleans the scratches and pops, plus takes the AC hum of the turntable and reduces it to an almost non existent db level.Of course the result is dependent on the source.
But,having alot of vinyl also,Im sure you will be pleased.E-mail me for more info.

I'm wondering if there is any free software to download so I can record my vinyl onto CD....any suggestions? I have lots to do, since we are starting a radio station and want to use some of the oldies...HELP....

Record the albums with the Sound Editor
to wav format, then use Dart Pro to clean
the pops the clicks and the noise

I found the file joyport.dll on NT Service pack 3.
I created a folder and unziped Service Pack 3. I then rebooted my computer and when it asked if I wanted to search for the file I told it where to search and the computer did the rest. I believe you can download Service Pack 3 from Microsoft's
Site.

Finding program to write musical notes on page

I'm not a computer whiz, and only work on a computer at my office in a law firm. All I want is some inexpensive way to have the computer screen show a staff, and then write down the musical notes I want to write down so I don't have to write them in longhand on a piece of staff paper. At this time, I only want to use this when I'm trying to reproduce some written semblance of a piano solo from a CD, and want to write down what I hear so I don't forget it. Right now, I'd like to learn the intro to Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath," the piano solo toward the end of Lynard Skynard's "Sweet Home Alabama." I've pretty much learned the solo in Stevie Ray Vaughan's "House is Rockin," but would like to write it down so I can read it and won't forget what I've played. I can't seem to find any reproductions of these solos in music books or sheet music. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.

I can't help - but I too wanted to find the sheet music for the honky tonk piano solo at the end of "Sweet Home Alabama." Try finding someone who has perfect pitch - they could take down a melodic dictation after listening to the song a bunch of times.

Try MusicTime Deluxe by GVOX...you can buy it for $65 at 4cds.com
I've been using it since Christmas...I only write by ear. I has a point-and-click for notation and you can play it back right away.

CODA is the name of an application the writes the notes while you are playing your keyboard
or midi device but dunno if thats what you are
looking for.... btw inexpensive ? try the demo...
