Pro Tools Free vs. Windows XP - HOW??

Digi design´s website doesn´t offer any XP downloads!
Can´t anything be done?
The damn thing (Pro Tools Free) shows a DAE error and shuts down!

Easily solution.. simply run the installation EXE in compatiblity mode for Windows 98. :)

Right click on the installation file, select properties. Go to the 'Compatibility' tab, click the check box "Run this program in compatability mode" (or something like that), and select Windows 98. :)

Actually, digi designs website does offer information on XP downloads. I don't personally own a digi design system..but,I was doing some research for someone to help them out today and came acrossed it.

This should get you what you need for XP downloads..but, according to this particular page you will be required to have already had Protools installed so you can provide the serial number, etc. The info is all there.

I have morpheus mp3 files (and old napster ones) and i can't figure out how to first convert to wav then try to burn with NTI Maker-Pro 3.

If anyone knows anything it would be a great help.

if you have'nt re-partitioned the disk, and upgraded from windows ME you can only revert to that OS. provided your are still FAT32.

how do u mean 'loading'?? is it a cd problem? u have a bad disk? maybe u mean it jusrt won't boot? I used to use MCP it is a very very good program for the money but after installing DirectX v8 if would crash whenever the play button was pressed! Data Becker didn't help much with their suggestions I found the trouble when I reinstalled Windows 98SE + DX8 was overwritten with DX7.1.

Inserting tracks for CD's

I used to use SOundforge cd architect to create tracks in my mixes to burn to cd. I've upgraded to Windows 2000 and doesn't seem to recognise the SCSI ID.

Does anyone know of any other programs that will do this for me without cutting my mix into lots of seperate WAV files?

well u can export each track individually then load into cubase individualy. you will need to transfere the audio takes anyway from comp to comp - see if sonar will reder down individual tracks in one take. if not it will take some time to do.

Try "Audio MP3 Recorder"
It can record your rm or ram file to mp3 or wav directly.

There are several ways:

1. Get an MP3 editor and cut the track up manually.

2. Convert to a WAV file then use something like WAV Singulator to do the cutting for you.

3. Convert to a WAV file and cut the track up manually.
