Turtlebeach soundcard with Windows ME

Hi,

I have a Turtlebeach soundcard, but ever since I installed Windows ME it doesn't work anymore. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do. I never got the software cd-rom, so nothing I can do there.
Please help me out.

Have you visited the Turtle Beach website? You should be able to download the current ME driver for you soundcard from there.

I recently got hold of an old S550 sampler with no manual or OS disk.The Roland site proves to be of no use in getting hold of an OS disk. I am willing to pay for shipping etc, to any one with an OS and a photocopy of the manual.

Unfortunately, there is no way to convert an MP3 into a midi file. Midi files contain data on notes and instruments, not actual sound data. An MP3 doesn't have this, and unless its a very simple one instrument track, there's no way of getting midi data out.

Is there an available freeware or shareware package that will allow me to enter in a composition of music (staff, notes, rests, etc.) so that I can play it back on my computer? I do not have an "ebony and ivory" keyboard for my computer, only a "QWERTY" type. I am looking for a way to hear some music that I have from my Church without having to find a pianist to play it for me.

What you need is MIDI Sequencing software.

This will let you enter the score and then play
back the music using MIDI - your soundcard synth
will create the sound for you.

Sequencing software is available on this site in

REMOVAL OF DISTORTION/CLIPPING

I am trying to remove previously recorded clipping and associated distortion at high frequencys. I am using Sound Forge 4.5 but I can't seem to get rid of it.
Any suggestions? Larry

You can get rid of clicks and pops by editing them out manually. Zooming in on the offending area can allow you to process the pop/click with a compressor or literally redraw the wave at that point with a pen tool.

Distortion is distortion and that's that. I doubt there is any real way to get rid of distortion.. It's part of the wave and can't be reverted to non-distortion as it were. It would be like expection a program to be able to see 'what it might have been' without the distortion, if you see what I mean, Can't be done... Recording digitally can be done at lower recording levels that tradition magnetic tape so there is no excuse for getting it wrong in the first place...

Hi, I have found a nifty program called "Addawav" I believe it can be found on Hitsquad. I used it to join together the segmented combat tracks from the game Baldur's Gate II. It worked flawlessly. It is the easiest such program to find. Be careful though, it may paste the first track twice (or something like this, just check the playlist before you join it together).

This is going to make me sound like the biggest blonde online.. but i cant get my computer to play audio cd's. Well, it works in Windows Media Player, but not in any other CD or Mp3 player. Everything works fine in the other programs except there is no sound. THe programs are Music Match Jukebox, Cool Edit 2000 and Winamp. Could someone plz tell me which settings i need to change or what i need 2 do to fix this. I am running Windows ME.

There's no specific software for recording LPs. The most important thing is to make sure your record deck is connected through a suitable pre-amp to make sure the tonal balance is correct. Then its just a matter of recording the music. If you look through the "Audio Recording" software, there's bound to be a free program or two there. Once you've recorded all the tracks on the LP, there are programs around to clean up the sound (Audio Renovation). Then its just a matter of burning them onto a CD.

Just have a look at http://www.stylediskwarehouse.com/styleworks.htm or better http://www.ketronus.com/styleworks.html.

The Solton styles are of course Upward compatible But NOT not Downward compatible and unfortunately it is what you are askin for.
One X1 style includes 4 variations, 3 fill-in, 1 break, 3 intros, 3 ending plus the possiblility to have the intros and ending used as fill-in through the jump button.
On your keyboard, you will got no more that it is designed to do.

in devicemanager do you have your soundcard installed? if not download your soundcard drivers either from the web or disc.
if it does show on device manager but with an error then remove it press refresh and reinstall
