I want to be able to balance the volume of the songs that I write to CD via a CDRW (HP) drive.
Currently, some songs are louder than others and creates problems because you have to manually turn the volume down and up during playback of a CD with a variety of songs and artists.
Is there any application to help with this problem?

Use any wave editor .open the file and NORMALIZE IT.

cubase vst24
anybody know about cubase vst24. i succesfully downloaded cubase into my computer but now when i go to use it, it's comming up with (the copy protection key could not be found please make sure it is plugged into the printer port) please help!!!.

I have been geet an error message for thast few days everytime i go onto napster. I decided since I was not getting any help from napster, to try to uninstall it and then tp reinstall it. Uninstalling was no problem..however, in stalling has now become a headache. How do I install nampster once again? Thank you

A question About Sound
I know that this isn’t the right place for this question but I hope you can help me. My question is I want to know if there is any program that can separate the music sounds, for example I have recorded a cartoon song which has speech and music, I want to take the music only to make it background sound for may website also I want to use the cartoon characters speech to make welcome sound for me website. If there is any program or method that can do that, then please tell me.

This is EXACTLY the right place for such a question - the answer
There is a program which will remove VOCALS from a song but nothing else in a two track song can be removed. The program is 'AnalogX Vocal remover'. You can get it on this site I think but it is a 'DirectX plugin' tool so to use it u need to load the song into a 'sequencer' then open 'Vocal Remover' via the effects facility. It's not difficult but you may need to spend a bit of time with the sequencer getting it working. The vocal remover is freeware and you MAY find a freeware sequencer which handles DirectX plugins OK?
To put sounds on a web page is easily done but I don't know how! You need a html editor/web site creator which can do it or know html programming.

Best advice is check out the Steinberg website - they give a good run down on the specs. Then decide what you plan to use it for, and see if the extras you get with Cubase are worth the extra cash.

HELP with CAKEWALK OVERTURE
Simpler instructions than the program help for changing the instrument that a piece of notated music plays via the computer sound card i.e. the default is a piano - change to another instrument eg.violin.Have followed the program instructions without success.

Go to Window->Track View. For the track you want to change the instrument on, select a unique channel (one not used by other tracks), and just click and hold on the instrument bar associated with that track. You will see a list of instruments (or numbers), and just select one. If it is numbers, do a web search for MIDI instrument tables so you know what numbers are associated with what instruments. Hope this helped :)

time extracting on cakewalk
I just started using my computer and Cakewalk 8 to record my music. Here is my
BIGGEST problem..........let's say I want to sample some drum loops and use
them in a song. Now I insert the drum loop into a track. How do I get the midi
clock and time sig match the BPM of the loop? I do what the instructions say,
I highlight the loop, and click the find a steady beat. The computer then
tells me that I can now use it from the clip board(?) I'm lost here...please
help!

I want to know if I can convert "ram" (RealAudio) files to WAV or some other format that can be "burned" onto a CD. Or if there is a converter that can do this directly with a "ram" file.

What I am looking for is a program that will take a song off of a CD (.WAV) and separate the instruments into individual tracks so I can then edit the individual tracks by volume, among other things. I would like to be able to remove the guitars from a song so I can replace it with my own guitar.
