I am desperate to get a stable reliable player of MP3s that beat
mixes, auto cross fade, easy play list assembly, dosn't need
to convert MP3 to play etc. I have spent hrs looking
but need your help. This is going into a night club so
must be reliable. HELP

Look here buddy the best product for the price is Otsjuke. The best product if you want to spend a lot of money is DJPOWER. End of story.

Editing wavs for export to synth? i.e (sustain)

Er... I assume you mean transfering it to a sampler? a .WAV is audio information and I presume that you might have a sampler? If so then you want to adjust the ADSR (attack,decay,sustain,release) of the sample. Just increase the 'S', sustain.

Hi,

Just thought i'd let you know that I downloaded you song and had a listen. Despite it's Robert Miles influence (no offence), it was quite nicely put together. You got you levels and eq'ing together although most audio devices these days sound like they've just popped out of a Pro recording suite. What were you using to make it?

Oh, and by the way, just a tip... The delay on the piano melody could do with a little adjustment. I think you should check out the calculator idea to get your delay settings. Generally divide the BPM by the amount of beats in a bar is a good starting point, I think there are some programs that will work out BPM to delay times also but I don't know what they are called.

My band used to do this years ago before our drummer
splurged out on a full Drum Kat set up.

We used to use a DM5 and a Yamaha TMX triggered by
practice pads and acoustic drums using suction pic-ups
made for acoustic guitars. We also used old drum
pads made for an old drum synth (like the 80's INXS
sound).

Anyway now that I've reminised long enough I'll get
to the point. You're better off using a drum module
because it you need a single mic or line in for each
individual transducer/pic-up/mic signal which ties
up a lot of sound card inputs - besides you get a
bunch of useful drum sounds which can be handy
because you don't always want to tie up your CPU
processing audio.

so i want to get a new drum module. I am thinking about an alesis dm5, a dr770, or a VST lm4 (perhaps another VST would be good for cubase).

does anyone have any advice? I am looking for producing hip hop, r&b, and experimental trip hop electronic, etc. I especially need it for hip hop and r&b. Where can i get those deep clean basses and those high tight snares? thanks!

If you want to make music, there are many options. If you're just starting out, I recommend FruityLoops.

Software to organise these vinyls would be good,but all

It depends on what format you have, but if you get Quicktime Pro, you can export a frame to a normal picture. Quicktime Pro does cost $30, but I think it is worth it.

At this time, it can't be done, unless you have a capture card.. you could play the video, and record it to a tape, then play it back and capture it in the format you want.. However, it's not gonna be tooo good..Realvideo is not exactly a high quality format...

What you want to use in TINRA. It is the only one I have found but will only do small files as it creates raw video AVIs.

Different number of measures/ staff in overture

OK, I can do a bit of dancing with Cakewalk Overture
2.1 B U T when I set up my measure per staff, it acts
in a universal mode putting the number of measures through the entire score.
My need is, for example, is to have one staff with 2 measures and the next with 3 or 4,etc.
Anyone out there who can give me "the cookbook directions" that are eluding me.

Midi files will not play on Media player or Cresendo

I can not get midi files to play. Both players show the file is playing, but I don't hear any sound. My sound card supports midi. Volume is up and it is not muted. I have know idea what is wrong. I downloaded the new Media player with no success. If anyone can help me please send an e-mail. Thanks, Barb
