Web Audio Measuring

Anyone out there know of any software that will measure the audio output of .wav, Real Audio, (etc.) files on web sites? "Ideally" it should be able to do this without having to record them first and then play them back in Cool Edit (or whatever). Basically a good set of VU meters (with peak "hold" and a way to save or print the results)is what I'm looking for.

None that I know of. But you can record your real audio to a WAV file using <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/TotalRecorder/">Total Recorder</a> then convert your WAV to MP3.

data what? never heard of it. but if you want truly affordable try n-tracks studio for your audio and some other guys are giving away old versions of cakewalk on the web. create your mid files in your cheapy hopefully free sequencer import the to n-tracks and your ready to go. n-tracks supports direct fx plug ins in real time so since it's only like $40 bucks it's worth looking at the demo.

(or recording at all) I'm beginning to think that I bought a piece of junk. Does anyone out there know anything about this software. Did you highlight both left & right speaker icons in the mixer. Otherwise, it ain't goin to pick up anything.....

Dear fellow musicians:

First of all, thank you for taking the time too read my plee. I find myself in dire need to create music via a PC, I am currently gathering information on what hardware is most suitable for such an operation, yet I would like to buy a professional/semi professional sound card (semi professional because I do not make any money off my music but I give it to others for them to use in a more professional matter). So my dilema relies in the fact that I do not know the first thing about sound cards bt I do not want to buy an OK one, I need a really good one (the money issue is not a problem for now as I don't think of it).
Please let me know what is a dream sound card.

THe best Sound card now is the WAVE 42496 of Gadget Labs, samplig 24 bits and 96 Khz and 400 $US of price, i think that is a good option

I think turtle beach montego II is good on paper. I just ordered one, and they have an upgrade path with an extra card/daughter board that makes it a home studio.

I heard they were having some legal problems with the program - I'll let you know if I hear more.

Are you suppose to get these from somewhere else? The program cannot run in windows without them, but I don't
seem to be getting them during download. I can understand there being no wizards, but the program doesn't seem to be complete.

Any Suggestions?

1. Open the folder you've unzipped hubi into.

2. From the 'view' menu choose 'folder options'

3. In the 'view' tab, choose "show all files"

- how to change tempo of a sequence?
- If I have a drum sound and I want to create a sequence of drum. What do I do to sequece it with rythm.

Load it up and press the buttons, thats the best tip I can think

Firstly get yourself a program to convert MP3 to WAV - try <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Winamp/">Winamp</a> or <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cool_Edit_2k/">Cool Edit 2000</a>.

Then get a CD burner program if you didn't already get one with your CD burner as they will burn WAV files to your CD (you don't convert them to CDA first) - you can get them at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/CD_BURNERS/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/CD_BURNERS/</a>

Ok Since There is'nt a Way to Convert Real Audio to Wav..Is There something like Easy Cd Creater to make cd's but allows Real Audio Files not Just Wav's

And What Kind of Stuff Do I need to Run a Copied Sega Dreamcast Game, and Can I copy a PC Game and Run it?

dude i don't know about real audio but i think if it makes a sound you can record it thus making a wave.music match 4.0 is on the web check it out. also download an emulator of the web i doubt that if they have any good ones and you might have to go to some pretty shady sites but just type in emulator n64 at any search engine and there you'll find something.

Winamp makes mixer?

Few days ago I saw a winamp-type mixer in a cafe. it had almost all the mixer buttons and the yellow winamp line on the top. it had 2 playlist-like windows, one on the left, and one on the right... does anyone have this nice piece of software? or know where I can get it.. thx..

its fast, powerful but simple(DX-plugins....)
and its-shareware! i don't know exactly how much
it costs, but one is 4 shure:it costs LESS than logic
and cubase!

Hi Suzie the plain and simple answer is Buy the latest Logic no question the latest version is the nearest you will get to the pro version pro tools at less than10% of the money again it all depends on what you want to do alright Cubase is And so is Cakewalk pro there is very little between the lot of them but why i suggest Logic out of the two you mentioned is because if Cubase decides it doesnt like something in your computer it will not work correctly as you can see from this forum a lot of people hae probs with it it may work fine on your system it may not and having the latest fastest pc doesnt make a bit of difference to it as i mentioned to someone else in thr forum my friend has the Cubase 3.6 thing running on an upgraded 486 32mb ram 1 gb H/d 166 processor but will it run on mine with 10 times the power it is a mystery So go LOGIC

I've got a demo of Macast and I've been looking for a place to possibly download the full version. Do you have any idea how or where I can find it? If you have it, would you be willing to trade for...? If you send it to me and tell me that it's for further demo use and tell me that I must delete it after 24 hours, it's technically not a copyright problem. Please help me if you can. Thanks.
