Ok, i can remove vocals, but how do i record my own vocals over the music? Im not too good with programs, and i dont seem to see an option for recording with the music. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

HOW TO MACMAN INTERFACE /MICROLOGIC

Nobody seems to be able to figure out why I can't get MIDI messages to work using a Macman interface with Micrologic running on a Mac 6115 with 72 meg of ram. Am running OS 7.6.1 According to micrologic, MIDI is being sent, but never gets to intetrface and MIDI sent from controller never gets to computer. I'm ready to go back to Atari!

You are basically correct - there are no free sheet
music sites of major artists (well not from this
century) as the owners of the copyrights don't
want to give it away for free - there are some
exceptions such as individual artists who put sheet
music on their own sites.

The only way to get it is buy it from someone like
<a href="http://www.sheetmusicplus.com">Sheet Music Plus</a>.

Do a search in google (www.google.com) for a program called AudioGrabber 1.7.

Even the demo lets you rip CD traccks to MP3 directly, but this does kinda rely on your soundcard, which will affect your audio output quality.

The demo gives you a random selection of tracks off the CD to record, but if you close and re-open it, you get a NEW random selection.

See where I'm going with this?

Aztech Washington 16 Sound card, MPU401 midi, Kawai X40-D keyboard, Micrologic sequencing program,will play midi files but for some reason I have lost the ability to play music into the sequencer from the keyboard following an attempt to upgrade the sound card. Have re-installed the original sound card. No conflicts are apparent in Win 98 Control Panel system devices. Can anyone help, please?

Importing . wav's to tracks in LOGIC

I just purchased the FastLane-USB midi interface to be used with an iMac DV. I have had success in connecting a Yamaha SY77 to my computer with the midi interface, but I am having trouble getting the music notation program Encore to recognize this midi set-up. I've installed OMS software, but still no luck. Documentation is sketchy with this product. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

SR16 editor for pcs

Hi there

I am in a band using an SR16, and we are running out of memory on the machine.

As such, what I would like is some way of saving all the patterns, drum kits and songs to windows pc, with the ability to then reload only those patterns and songs needed at any particular time.

Does anyone know of a windows utility that would enable me to do this? My pc has midi input.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Actually, I should have been more specific... Sd2==>.Wav under Windoze.... Is there a utility to do this? Today I'll get by with Barbabatch on the Mac, just curious if I can convert under Windows so I can transfer my Mac Logic files to my Windows 98 machine running Logic.

Logic Audio Platinum 4.0 and higher is said to support 24 bit SDII format.

The soulution is simpler than you might think. Protools Free, www.digidesign.com, works natively with SDII files (as SDII was a digidesign proprietary file format). It 'requires' 128MB of RAM, but if you have 64 and up just ignore the warnings and it will still run. Import your SDII files and export them as wav. done.

I installed PT Free for WIN98 last december only for this SDII 24 bit to WAV conversion purpose, but there was NO support for SDII-files, their own file format! If they do have that support now in the second edition, it must be secret news, since they don't mention it at their support site or newsletter.

Sorry, man. SBlusters don't get along. Buy ISA soundcard ($9 - $30 depending on the features). F. e. egghead (www.egghead.com) sells ISA Hi-Val for 30 bucks. They live together ISA and SBluster.

you can get it to work - you need to fool around a bit. I found that setting the file locking semantics to "off", on control panel - file systems, helped. Also, you need to correctly set your active soundcard, in the "mixer" window, for recording or playback.
