No problem....
E-mail me at: moveit@talk21.com and I can explain how this can be done in less than five minutes and at a cost of less than $1.00 USA or 0.50p British. There really is no catch in this reply. I use this NOW...TODAY...up to 99% Vocal Reduction on perfect mixed CD tracks. No problem. Further more, if you don't me get hold of:
'COOLEDIT' (Shareware version is fully usable with TWO functions available at any one time...use the MIXER SECTION and SAVE...with this soft ware you 'PLAY and RECORD' on Cooledit...then highlight the entire track and go to the mixer section and click on 'Vocal Cut'...it's done in a moment....Then use 'Save' to save the eliminated track. If you would like to do this 'On the fly' (Real Time) from outside your PC....E-mail me and I'll explain it...IT REALLY IS DEAD SIMPLE...AND IT REALLY WORKS...HONESTLY.

Music Composing Computer Software
I'm a songwriter with no formal music background. I can't read music, but I have a natural songwriting capability. I compose it in my head, put it on tape and take it to a musician to put it to an instrument.
This method obviously have its limitations. Is there software programmes with which you can "build" music with.
Example: I might have a nice basic tune in my head. I sample it, put it on computer and the computer gives me alternatives to take it further.
Or any type of sofware that can at least assist me.
If anyone can help, I'd be gratefull

You need a basic MIDI sequencer first. Then go ahead and try http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Digital_Ear/
at this site. Also Ban-in-the-Box can help you with further cord progression, melody and minimal arrangments.

I don't actually want to compose music, just to arrange a Bach trio sonata which is written on 3 staves and I've arranged it for just two, so I can play it on the piano.
I have a PC. What program do I need to get, for this extremely basic, simple thing? I do NOT want to be able to HEAR it, just to be able to READ it more easily then from my messy manuscript writing.
I do hope you can help! If you can advise me about which program I should get, could you please tell me how to set about getting it!

You might also like to get a program like <a href="http://www.wildcat.com/Site/Homepage.htm">Autoscore</a>
This will let you sing or whistle into a microphone and your computer will then record all the notes to a MIDI file which you can load into a sequencer and play back as any instrument you want.
Convert RA Mono to RA Stereo??
