Re: DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO COPY SONGS FROM DIFFERENT CD´S TO A
OK open an audio session.
put your first cd in and select your cd rom drive letter in the upper section. select the track or tracks you want from that cd and drag them into the lower window.
put your next cd in and repeat the same steps.
third cd and so on.
when you have enough tracks you can start burning.
the program will promt you for each cd in turn.
if you haven't got the titles saved in your cdplayer.ini file then make sure you keep the cd's in the same order.
and that's it. the program will pause while you change cd's
good luck
Drop-outs in Music
I have some music on tape that has drop-outs in it. I want
to record it onto my hard disk to put on CD. Is there any recording
software that will compensate for these drop-outs while recording? I had
a friend that used a dual cassette that made a copy of it and there were
no drop-outs in his copy but sound quality was reduced alot. Probably need
something that has an automatic level control.
Thanks
(: Jerry :)
Re: Drop-outs in Music
define dropouts???
Re: Drop-outs in Music
There are some section where the tape was bad. When it recorded on the bad section
it sounds like a cassette tape that has been crinkled up. If I use a dual cassette to to make
a copy of the original, the automatic level control will automatically increase the level when
it records the bad spots and listening to the copied tape you can't tell there were
any drop-outs at all. The only problem is the dual cassette deck is cheap so sound quality
goes out the window. I need something that will automatically adjust the recording level while recording
so that when the input level tries to decrease the recording level will increase to compensate.
Re: Drop-outs in Music
just record the track and use a wave-editors
NORMALIZE function. or mark the "bad" sections
and make them louder.

Re: Drop-outs in Music
o.k. i don't know of any progs with a.l.r
(automatic line recording) but there is one thing you can try.
there is a dj software demo called otsjuke. this is probably available here at hitsquad. if not go to www.otsjuke.com and dowload it from there.
now then, this prog has audio gain control on playback so if you just record the bad track onto your hard drive as it is, then, when you play it back through otsjuke, it should adjust the levels automatically. all you have to do the is re-record it. make sense???
Re: Drop-outs in Music
The latest version of OTSJUKE can be found here.
Cheers

IS IT POSSABLE TO RECORD MP3 FILES TO MINIDISC
IF YES..THEN WHATS THE POINT IN MP3 PLAYERS.
Re: IS IT POSSABLE TO RECORD MP3 FILES TO MINIDISC
yes....go to minidisco.com and check out the software they have there..the site is very reliable i have ordered from there before..and i have yet to figure out the use of MP3 players=)
analog or digital?
I think you mean digitally?
therefore you'd need a soundcard with digital
outs. then it shouldn't be a problem.

Cutting MPG or RM files
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a way to break up a large MPG or RM file into multiple smaller files. I know this is possible with video editing software, but I don't know any free or shareware programs which support MPG and/or RM. I don't need advanced functions, just some simple cutting.
So, simply put, how can I cut one MPG or RM file into smaller parts?
Thanks,
Bram

Forget about cda!!!!
I see a lot of messages here asking "how to convert to cda format so i can put songs on my cd player"
People People People, Forget that you ever heard of cda. your audio files have to be 16bit stereo 44100mhz OR as you probably already know them.....
Windows PCM wav
Windows PCM wav yes isaid it again...this is the only format you need to worry about. burn this format to your cd as an audio session and then these are standard audio tracks that you play in your home cd player.
try it for your self and then if you like look at these files in explorer after you have made your cd
and..............."What do you Know, there's that cda extension again"
Re: Forget about cda!!!!
>burn this format to your cd as an audio session
Call me stupid but what do you mean by an Audio Session?
Re: Forget about cda!!!!
The Wav file has to be 44100 Mhz and 16 bit?
Re: Forget about cda!!!!
just a typo error pal!
44.1 KHz, 16 bit and stereo
44.1 KHz, 16 bit and stereo
.cda, .wav, .mp3????
I want to be able to change .mp3 files into a file
that I can burn on to a CD that all audio CD players
can recognize. When I put CD's in my computer it
says they have an extension .cda, but there are two
things that confuse me. For one, it says the file size
of them are 44kb which doesn't make sense because
songs take up a ton of space, like 50mb per song. I
was thinking maybe these just refer to the songs and
they don't appear in the folders? And also I've
heard that .wav are the file types that are used on
CD's. So what's the difference between .wav and .cda
and which one is read by audio CD players? or is there
no difference and they're the same?
Re: .cda, .wav, .mp3????
get yourself a copy of mp3 decoder from hpl software
decode your mp3 files (they will automatically become windows pcm files.
then burn them to your cd in an audio session(not data) and they will play in your cd player.
.mid to .cda conversions
Have a good collection of .mid backing tracks on floppy, but would like to burn them onto CD's for easier and more secure use.
What is a good software package for a Win98 based PC that will convert .mid files to to .cda files?
Re: .mid to .cda conversions
as you can see above in effay's message you can't
convert any file to CDA. to burn midi-files on
cd use a program to convert MID to WAV. I've
read some messages below about where to get that
prog. but I think it'll sound more interesting
if you were recording a WAV-files while playing
the MID-file with a midi-player.
