How do i download songs, and wot equipment do i need to download

Hi

I have the songs saved onto a file but everytime I try and put them onto a cd it comes up saying that I need to format the disk. When I try and format the disk, it says that there is a fault or the disk drive is open...but it isn't. Please can you get back to me asap, as Im trying to make a cd for my boyfriend, its our anniversary.

my name is Eboni Rawlins, and i need to know how i can download songs onto my computer and then put them onto a cd. I dont have a cd burner either. Is it even, at all possible to do this without a cd burner??? Me and my boyfriend's anniversary is coming up and i wanted to do something special for hima nd it is very urgent. Please help me. :(

You have a lot of questions there but here's the basics:
<ol>
<li>Download the multitrack recording program - <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/n-Track_studio/">n-Track Studio 2.0 for Windows 95/98/NT</a> this will let you record and mix your songs
<li>buy the registered version of n-track when you're ready to mix down to a final WAV file
<li>once you have the final WAV files burn them to a CD-R using one of CD Burner progarams at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/CD_BURNERS/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/CD_BURNERS/</a>
</ol>

PS if you do want a free multitrack recorder try <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/DDClip_Free/">DDClip Free</a> or <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/TwoTrak_32/">TwoTrak (4 mono tracks)</a> but they're not as good as n-Track.

You can find plenty of new original styles and midifiles for your psr keyboard at SVPworld (PSRworld). Just go to www.psrworld.com.

to understand...

MIDI-files can't have lyrics included. they just
store note-datas, like a note-sheet.
I think your PSR740 plays the MIDIs correctly.

with XF you mean XM or GM I think. GM stands for
General Midi and XM for eXtended Midi. these are
two basic-sound standards for most synths out
there.

there was a song or two i've downloaded from the Net with lyrics displayed on your psr740 screen when I played it. i'm not sure how they did it but i'm sure it can be done for other midi files. psr740 supports lyrics display . The lyrics are input via a software into the midi file. i can't remember the name of the software.
try downloading this midi file: stuck on you by lionel ritchie.

You can use Cakewalk, open the midi file and add Lyric , Try to save the file in mode1 or mode0.

This is not correct. There are meta-events in the
MIDI standard which allow the association of lyrics with
other MIDI events. The problem is to connect the right lyrics
to the right events. Every notation program should be able
to do that.

This has nothing to do with XG.

i use an ess audio card as my second card
yamaha seems to work well too without conflicts
