Cubase Install Probs, does not load DLL library, Arrggh!

Error Message on install; Could not load DLL Library
C:\VSTINST\DIRECTX\5.0\DSETUP.DLL

I don't know how to correct this problem, I have downloaded drivers versions 5.0 + 7.0, perhaps I am installing them wrong.

coz ure penis is too small for the usb port

Ok,

here's my question to all of you,

what did I use to «NORMALIZE» the sound of the mp3 I get before I record all the stuff on a cd. I want to have better sound possible, equal and clean sound. Please, make your sugestion.

PS: i don't like to adjust bass, treble or the volume of my sound system everytime anotther song start !

SoundForge or Ultramaximizer plug-in

the normalizing-function that comes with
soundforge does a great job but to master a song
use the ultramaximizer plug-in (I think it's from
waves).

After finishing recording some songs on my pc( event gina/any soundcard)what are the different ways to get it on CD? what is the best? cheapest? please help out a newbie! thanks in advance.

the next step after recording is to master your
songs. get them all on the same volume (make them
as loud as possible without distortion)and burn
them on cd.

Is There Such A Thing

I was just wondering if someone knows of a program that eliminates
the background music in a song, so you are just left with the voice?
Or vice-versa so you have just the music. If some knows of such a program
I would really appreciate any help.

Try <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/VocalRemover/">AnalogX Vocal Remover for Windows 95/98/NT</a> - it removes the vocals and leaves you with the music with varying results depending on the phase differences between left and right sides of stereo.

and can remove it from a sample.

You give the plug-in way more credit than it deserves.
It will generate a "noiseprint" from the signal you feed it, and then filters out unwanted frequencies, it can't filter out unwanted voices.
In fact there is no way you can do this without screwing up your sound seriously :(

Generating Simple Harmony Lines From MIDI Melody

OK, so you've written the world's greatest song, and have created a MIDI for the melody. Like all the world's best selling songs it only has 4 or 5 chords, and it has a great chorus. Your fellow band members have fairly good voices, but don't know where to start when it comes to singing harmonies. Is there some software that can help? Like all struggling musos we would prefer someting free or cheap, and we don't need anything too fancy, just something that generates thirds or fifths, whatever they are?

Cubase VST 3.7-song to MP3 conversion

I presently have songs which were completed in Cubase VST 3.7 whcih include both midi instruments in the GM banks
and WAV files played in through Cubase VST. They play
great on my computer but I want to get them into a MP3
and streaming format for the internet. I am using a
Pentium III 450 MGHZ DELL With 128 MEG RAM and 13 GIG
HD, Windows 98. What will make this conversion happen
without to much trouble?

export the song as an audio file (click on make file on the master section), then convert from wav to mp3 in soundforge, or perhaps one of the mp3 players that recognise wav files.

have to record it to DAT or MD first and then

Gotcha, But the Turtle Beach montego card II I use is a ggod sound card and it seems to record and play at the same time
sbecause I can play the MIDI files out and send them back into Cubase and record them as a Wave Audio file.
However, I am not clear how I setup my card to generate a wave file separate from Cubase VST. On the other hand,If I scrap that approach
and go with the ADAT, what kind of dollars are the ADATs going for. Would it be possible to buy a CD writer and record it on
CD and convert from CD? Does Cubase require any special software to do that?

Yo!

I've installed Fruity loops 1.5 and up, and some of the wavs won't play. However, I am able to hear and edit the wavs under, say, cool edit pro/sound forge.

Am I missing a file? I had heard that there was a file for windows 95 that solved this kind of problem.

I'm considering buying a music program of either "Mibac Music" or "Practica Musica 3". Has anyone tried these 2 programs? Which is better? I'm learning to play the classical guitar and need a good music theory program.

have you tried Creative WaveStudio? it can play
any selected segment of a wav file. however,
it is a window software.

I've had a bit of a play with it and I was impressed with how easy it is to use - it doesn't have all the thousands of paramaters that software in mastering studios does but I think that's one of the best features - you just twiddle the knobs until you've got the sound you want in realtime and then record it.

Exotic Player for the PC

I wrote to the authors of EaglePlayer and they told me that there was a PC version of DeliTracker but i can't find it.

Music Printer Plus

We are getting a new PC in the near future and are
concerned that Music Printer Plus will no longer
run on the new version. In fact, I've read that
without an update it won't run on a system with
a disk driver larger than 1 GB.

What I wanted to know is: How can I export/import
the current scores stored in Music Printer Plus into
a new software and if anyone knows of a Music/Midi
program that will read the Music Printer Plus format.

My son used MPP until recently when we bought a new printer that it wouldn't support. He was using it on an IBM Aptiva with a 3 gig hard drive. I don't think the size of the hard drive will be a problem, but the lack of compatability with our new printer is a big problem and we haven't been able to find any support. Has the company gone out of business? A message left on an answering machine at the number for tech support went unanswered. What programs are other former MPP users switching to?

Coupla things you can do:

1) Go to print menu and "print" as a PCX. This makes a PCX file and it can be saved on a floppy or emailed to the new computer. The PCX files can be sized to fit in "PAINT" and/or most popular publishing programs.
2) Go to the setup menu (ALT F10) and compile/save the file as a midi. I find that midis will open in Encore, Finale, and most of the newer popular programs.

I use MPP exclusively for all my writing, but my old computer is a 486 and the printer is shot. It's only 25mhz, but the kids leave it alone. The printer is shot, so I save to disk and print on the newer machine. Keep in touch.
