atari midi data to pc midi data transposition

Does anyone anywhere know of a program/software that will allow a pc to read midi data from an AtariST in order to convert this information into data that a pc can use for a music program like cubasis/cubase vst etc.

HELP! With Midi Hookup

I am having a hell of a time getting a midi keyboard
hooked to my computer. The hardware is working and
connected correctly. However, everytime I press a
key on the instrument, my sequencer freezes and I
have to restart my computer. The setup I am using
worked a few months ago, but will not now. Any
ideas?

I used to have a midi setup myself, and I faintly recall having the same problem.

When I asked a representative of a local piano store, he told me to try and prep the keyboard I was using for midi play. I had to press a two button combination on my keyboard to prep it.
The only thing I can suggest is to check your manual or call a piano dealership ( if you don't have one. ) Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but good luck, and I hope you get her set up.

Click at beginning of Wav

I don't use Winamp for conversion (I use CDex, freeware)
but when I play a file with Winamp, I get a click at
the beginning. I think this is just as Winamp thing.
If I play the same file in Windows Media Player, there
is no click.

Check it out; there may be no click in the .wav.
If there is, you might want want to consider CDex.

if you convert mp3 to WAV it's the same result .
you can recorde into a CD ; it's OK !!

mp3 decoder from hpl software is one that i always recommend.

but also some cd recording software like winoncd and nero can make audio cd's straight from the mp3.

personally ilike winoncd.

What's a good BPM matching software?

I need software that can automatically match beats to two or more different songs. I use Cool Edit Pro 1.0. Does this have that function? If not then what does? Are there any out there that really do this? I have seen a couple that advertise that they do but do a poor job doing so. I am using it for DJ purposes on my computer and do not have two soundcards so I cannot use headphones to cue. Maybe I'll just go back to my records...

Try searching for a program AtoMix, its really good, lets you mix mp3s real time and matches bpm. Really easy to use, trial version shows message every 15 mins or something.

I recently purchased RealPlayer Jukebox Plus,the newest
edition released this past month at BestBuy for 29.99
It WILL convert RA to MP3 or Wave and it records from
your Cd but not to your Cd.
But if this helps anyone out,it's for 29.99 and I
picked 1 up at BestBuy,funny thing is when I went in
I talked to 3 employee's who SWORE the program

I've worked a lot with RealPlayer Jukebox Plus and I've not found it able to convert either of these files. It will PLAY them but thats about it.

ok i'm new at remixing songs, though i've been recording music for a while now. my question is, how do you extract one "part" of a song, like just the vocal track or just the drum track so you can take that and add your own touches? what i'm trying to say is how do i get just one track of a song? software? if so, please tell me what kind(s) and where i can get it. please email me at anaxander@aol.com....thanks

Sorry, but this is just impossible. It would be like would be like taking an applepie and try to extract the apples, flour, butter and sugar:)
The only way to have separate tracks is to record your own...

It's easy, just get the mastertape...

Making Ra files with something besides real producer

Hi,
my real player will not open up and I have done all I know and been on with tech support and they don't know. Anyhow, to make matters simpler, I want to create my own ra files for my sites. I want to use something like real producer, is there another make out there I can use to create these types of streaming audio like producer would do but another make? Producer will not work with my windows media and wants to open their real player which like I said gives me problems. Maybe its a windows connection problem, I don't know but I have uninstall, redownloaded and the works so what other unit can get me going?

one thing you can do is download it from p2p sharing e.g. limewire, morpheus or kazaa it will take a few hours to download but then youve saved yourselves a load of money - you will probably get any version you want, i have lime wire and searched for and theres loads of them

go to www.limewire.com and download the basic package

Hey, this is probably the dumbest thing that anybody has ever asked but is there a way i can record and sequence vocals, say via MIDI through the microphone from my DJX keyboard on my Mac? Is that possible? even in a not-so-great demo quality? Well if it isnt with just a sequenceer program, the DJX, and my Mac; than what would i need without having to sell the farm to purchase it? thank you so very much. Any other additional inof on the subject would be appriciated!!!!!! BYE! please reply to my e-mail address too.

Well what can I say, the idea is a bit silly. Your mac presumably has an audio input and output so you can record any vocals you want. MIDI can't send audio so your DJX's mike is of no use to record vocals, besides, the sample-memory of your DJX is not nearly suficient. Any decent MIDI-sequencer with audio can sequence both the (vocal) recordings and your DJX keyboard. Just try some shareware sequencers..

Try a midi computer program called autoscore. - Can record vocals with it into midi but its done just using a microphone and not through a keyboard. You sing and the vocals are made into midi. Autoscore is a bit pricey but you may be able to get a copy through www.ebay.com the online auction site or do an internet search for autoscore- from memory a company called "Wildcat" ? software make it.

Your vocals will become just midi sounds - you cant make lyrics.
