There are quite a few programs you can use. If you're a beginner and want to get to grips with making music with loops and samples, you can't go too far past <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SonicFoundryAcid/">Acid</a>. The <a href="http://www.sonicfoundry.com/">Sonic Foundry site</a> is pretty good if you want to find out more.

Sorry, im not quite clear on what you mean by the "source of the oscillations."

you might want to check out Metasynth. It will let you take graphic images and convert them to sound. There are a number of ways to convert any data into audio data, but the results might not produce exactly what you are looking for.

You could get hold of <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/n-Track_studio/">n-Track Studio</a>. Although it's a shareware product, it's well worth the effort to explore.

Remember that the MP3 format is a Computer File. This is very different from CD-Audio.

What you need to do is set up a mixed mode/multi format/multi session burn.

You arrange your CD-Audio files first then set up a "partition" on the CD-rom for your computer files (namely your MP3 format files)

You cannot directly burn an MP3 to CD-Audio. This is probably why you are having problems with your burns.

If you are trying to copy MP3 audio to a normal audio cd, you must first convert the MP3 to a .WAV or .AIFF File : 16bit 44.1khz Stereo. Once you have the MP3 audio converted, you can then burn this file to CD-Audio.

PS. make sure to have plenty of empty hard drive space before you convert as the audio file will expand tenfold. a 4.5 meg MP3 file will expand to a 45+ meg .WAV file.
