I think it's sick the way some people put things on the net like "I hate Harry Potter". J.K Rowling worked so hard on those books, she doesn't deserve to have people bad mouthing her. She is a damn good writer. She is one of the greatest writers ever and has been compared to Tolkien, Dahl and even the Wizard of Oz and lots of people think she is better than them and I am one of them. :( :p

I hate Harry Potter because it decieves people into thinking witchcraft and sorcery can be used for 'good'. In no way are spells and witchcraft admirable or healthy.

it's not possible, at least not without affecting the quality of what is left behind. Have a look in the "Answers" bit for a more detailed answer.

Is it possible to convert a .wav file to a CD?

You don't have to do any conversion. Just burn the WAV file to the CD using a suitable program (Nero Burn, Easy CD Creator etc.)

I am looking for software that allows multitrack digital recording of vocals and MP3 conversion ready for the internet. Can anyone help with suggestions of which one to buy? I need to be able to make good quality demos of my songs and would like software that allows the multitrack recording of both vocals and some background music.

There are programmes that allow you to rip the audio of the DVD
into a wave file, then you can burn the wave into an audio CD.

That's because the audio tracks aren't a separate entity - they are encoded into files along with the video. The result are the .VOB files you find on DVDs. The only way to get the soundtrack off the disc is either to play the disc on a stand-alone DVD player and feed the sound output into the soundcard or use something like Total Recorder to intercept the sound from the sound card.

Actually both of the previous posts are right you are, in fact recalling two different songs.
copying enhanced CD's
I was trying to copy some tracks off of a Sarah McLachlan CD and a Jewel CD and they are both "enhanced CD's". When I open them on my computer, instead of getting a track listing like most CD's, I get a bunch of non-audio files such as pictures, movies, fan club web site links, etc. I know the tracks are there somewhere, since I can also play the CD off off the menu that the enhanced CD gives me. I tried the FIND FILES OR FOLDERS mode in Windows to see if I could unbury the audio files, find any type of an audio file at all (WAV, MP3, etc, etc) but I cannot. Most of the files are exe files or applications. I am not too savvy on this type of thing, but has anyone else had this problem? How the heck do I locate the tracks so I can copy them to my custom disc I am making with my burner? HELP!!!

I need to have audio play automatically in a cd player and I also need video files to play automatically when used with a computer. Soft Synthesizer for Windows XP

I have Windows XP installed on my computer together with a Soundmax soundcard. I would like to know whether there are versions of soft synthesizers, particularly Yamaha, avaliable, which will succesfully operate with the above requirements and where I can find them on the Web?

if not try it.
if you search google.com you will find it without problems..
HINT: set your clock forward a few years before you instal then once installation is complete set it back to correct date...
this should extend your use thereof also..

Rewire is free but it is bundled with commerical
applications that you have to buy, however Logic
is one of the applications that includes it.
If you didn't get Rewire with your version of Logic
then you may have to get an upgraded version from
<a href="http://www.emagic.de">Emagic</a>.

The Red Book Standard doesn't really apply to WAV files at all. It refers to the standard adopted for Compact Disc - the physical properties of the disc and the digital encoding. However, if you want your WAV files to meet the standard, they need to be encoded using 16-bits an a encoding frequency of 44kHz. That's all there is to it.

using computer mic input
can the computer's mic input be used to make digital audio of sufficient quality to add to music mixes? or is there a special piece of equipment that should be put in line to add vocals to digital music tracks? for any help my thanks in advance.

Andy is right. You might also want to try the line in input instead of the mic input, which
usually results in lower noise levels.But as Andy
said it depends MOSTLY on your microphone and the
soundcard, and I would say that the microphone is of extreme importance. For example when I use
the Sure SM-58 mic with my mic input, I get close
to zero noise. There are also software noise reduction utilites that can reduce the hiss, the pops and cracks, the noise, etc... So, if all you have is a decent mic and a decent soundcard, you can do without the DAT. It wont be the BEST way possible, but in my opion with a little work, could be good enough
