i want to be a popsar
hi my name is megan and i'm 15 years old i've wanted to be a singer for about 13 years. i've taking singing lessons since i was 5 until i was 12. i've also been in school and church chiors for 10. if you know of any agents or any record offers please e-mail me and let me know i would really appriciate it. if you have info please please let me know. this has been my dream for the longest time. thanks for taking the time to read this.

any suggestions
Question... When I mix down a song and play it back..There are some parts that sound higher and some parts sound lower.. Is ther a plugin or software that balances it all out without having to do it manually? Just wondering....
How do you mean?
Do you mean that certain sections of a song that you have made vary to much in volume?
If so, then thats something you should address in a mix. You can compress a mix for mastering although if the volumes are really off then it may ruin the overall mix. Fix it in the mix basically

Check out Sebilius - allows you to scan music and then will transpose for you.
see timestretching software - cool edit has the function i think

Mptrack vs. costly Logic + Cubase
Anyone know if its worth forking out a shedload of money for an expensive sequencer if ive got a free sequencer which works fine (Mptrack) and Cooledit for effects. Im getting a fast computer + creative rack soundcard. What are the advantages of Logic/Cubase over Mptrack in this situation? Will they make the music sound better? Or is it down to hard work no matter what sequenecr you have?

No opinion as I haven't used it. You could look at the lesser versions of sequencers from Emagic and Steinberg as they have some decent ones. You often get one when you buy an Audio card as a bundle

Steve is right you could start with a cheap Cubasis but i not used yer app either. Host is not important to sound quality well atleast to 98% of it. Good FX (and good sound sources!) are FAR more important. On the steinberg forum people have complained that a cubase mix can feel squashed compared to a hardware mixer based mix + that the cubase engine needs work so don't think just cause it's £500 it's the be all + end all. You got to use your own ears at the end of the day + try the demos. Arguablly u much better spendin all that dosh on good fx, a few vsti's and sample cd's. Functionality is important too + if u work weel + fast on what u got + don't feel restricted what more do u need?
u mean modtracker?
if so then i don't know what sound sources it uses but u should definately check out a sequencer running good vst instruments going through good fx. Have u tried fruityloops? It's cheap and totally awesome. v powerfull - load up some vst'is and see what it soundslike. it can use buzz soundmodules too now if u wann keep some of the 'tracker sound' in yer stuff. others to consider are Orion VST and Reason though it's FX are lacking big time. man i know what u mean by hard work with tracker i used buzz for a minute but with FL or Orion u can make traks in 1/5th of the time + then have a life too;)

yes i am using modtracker.
i now understand the 'host' to be the sequencer program and that the sound quality wont be too effected by this, but that with the add-on vst options with fruityloops etc, the sounds will be overall better compared to sounds from sample cd's only (which is what i use now). i also got a second hand QY70 recently so those sounds could also be manipulated in fruityloops, right?
