go and have a look at http://doom9.org/
Doom 9 has got tons of software re: video conversion, touching up duff quality stuff, and sorting out the problems that come with burning videos onto cd.

Try LP Ripper from CFB software

: There's no specific software for recording LPs. The most important thing is to make sure your record deck is connected through a suitable pre-amp to make sure the tonal balance is correct. Then its just a matter of recording the music. If you look through the "Audio Recording" software, there's bound to be a free program or two there. Once you've recorded all the tracks on the LP, there are programs around to clean up the sound (Audio Renovation). Then its just a matter of burning them onto a CD.

You need this MC500 system file and the SDISK application to make copies from your PC that will run the MC500 or MC300

for a short answer: they are equal - the difference is the way you use it. Compare it to 2 cars of the same power ... which one do you feel more comfortable driving? Cubase is probably easier to get into, but I find there to be be too many coloured lights, clutter, bells & whistles, so I prefer to take the harder Logic road ... whichever you choose, you're gonna have to have a lot of patience and try out a lot of things b4 you get results. Try some demos, and don't forget there are a lot of simpler programs to start on .. Sonic Foundry Acid records audio, N-Track studio is for free (www.fasoft.com) ... look at www.pc-music.oom for advise ...
