Information: Multi WAW-recording

I don't understand all of software (also TOP 20 download)
My question:
1.
----------
1. I start Hammer (drumm loop)
2. I start Yamaha Sound Cart (very cheap card)
3. I put Microphon + electricguitar (from zoom effect)
4. I start in Yamaha record button, I sing+play and then save record as 1*.waw
5. Now I have 35-45 Mby 1*.wav file
--------- 2.
6. I start Sessions Software = I played this *.wav file all or such as loop
7. I start in Yamaha record button and add 2-voice + acoustic guitar or electric guitar
8. Now I have another 35-45 Mby 2*.wav file
--------- 3.
9 ... I could repeat steps 6-7 (to add keyboard) and I have 3*.wav
Note: I mmake Stereo-recording avec YAMAHA Mixer (voice in the middle)

10. I open 3*.wav with Session WAV-editor and made fade out at the end
11. I convert 3*.wav to 3*.mp3

Result: I'am very satisfied but afer some days/weeks,
I say: Wau! electric guitar is too loud,
it isn't good! I repeatsomeona all steps.

Exist any software for "multitracking" -
that after some days/weeks I could to minimise
electric guitar or edit tracks individually
(e.g. 1 track drum, 2.track voice 3. track guitar, etc.)

I would like to bye such music software, because my
all life hobby is songs creating and I am not in age
to make music for public.

Hi,

I want to compose songs(mainly rock/pop) and record them eventually to Minidisc or MP3.

I play a semi-acoustic guitar which I would like to be able to sample into my recordings but play no other instruments (yet!). What I need to know is where to start... do I need sequencing software such as Cakewalk or could I use a MOD tracker? How do you guys get hold of samples of instruments ? I assume I will need to buy a sampler and a decent sound card also.

Any help/pointers to FAQs,tutorials etc would be greatly appreciated.

hello

recommend starting with Voyetra Digital Orchestrator. It is so easy to use. And, please don't download it. Pay for it so you get the book and tech support. Don't bother with MOD. Sound card: I recommend like no other the SoundBlaster Live or if you don't need digital in and out, which you probably don't, get the SBLive value. You can use soundfonts with it. You basically download samples and load them into the RAM and use it as a MIDI instrument. It is so cool. You can make your onw sample banks (SoundFonts) with Vienna, which is free from the Creative Labs website. If you buy this you don't need to buy a sampler. The card works as a sampler. It is amazing.

i have music match and direct cd i'v tried eveything i'v even tried 2 different brands of CD-RW cd's please help me i only had this computer for 3 weeks.

Direct CD is a type of "packet writing" software that lets you use a CDRW disc like another hard drive, ie, you can drag and drop files on to it in windows explorer and other programs, and delete files as well.
Direct CD starts every time you start the PC, so you need to stop it either by taking it out of the start up program group, or go to start > run and type msconfig, and hit enter. Click on start up, and untick Adaptec Direct CD. Alternatively, every time you want to write a CD, press ctrl+alt+del and click on Direct CD, then select "end task".

Chances are you are using another burning program, and Adaptec has drivers pre-loaded into memory, Nero especially doesn't like that.
Try un-installling them, or just dis-ableing them.

What's the best Digital Dj program?

Hi all, my message to you is, what the is the best digital dj software out there at the moment. I've heard from sources that it is VTT v1.80 (Virtual Turntables) because it allows you to cue via headphones. I've also heard that it is PCDJ1200 which is apparantly very expensive. Is there any software out there that has the ability to cue via the headphones and an automatic BPM counter.

How to Copy Cd Audio Files to Hard Drive to Write to Burner

How do I copy audio cd files from a cd disk, to the hard drive, so I can mix them with wav or mpg files and burn them back to a cd burner. I have a SCSI burner and SCSI cd rom drive, am stumped. I can copy the icons only, or is there a special program to do this, or easier to install a nother cdrom drive and and set the cd map up to burn them that way.

simultaneous multi-track recording on PC?

I am looking for a way to use my PC to perform recording
of multiple tracks simultaneously. I can currently record
multiple tracks using my sound card and n-Track, but can
only record one track at a time. This makes it pretty
tough to record a mike drum kit for example. In the old
world, I would record each miked signal to an individual
track using a mult-track tape recording device. What does
it take to get this capability in the digital recording world?
I am starting to find some cards that support full-duplex, multi-channel
record and playback, but do you also need special software
to record multiple channels at once? Any advice on such
hardware and/or software? thanx - SS

THere are quite a few products out there,
such as "Mark Of The Unicorn"(MOTU)
and M Audio, as for software, N-Track will work, and there are scores of other multitrack recording programs out there,
Cakewalk, Cubase, etc.

Soft Synth (?) for a MIDI idiot

I'm currently running Cakewalk 9.03 / Gadget Labs and am looking for a S-I-M-P-L-E to use plug-in, etc that can generate horn hits, etc. in my recordings.
I've been thru the Cake wave-MIDI sample converter, etc and although I can make it work, I'm REALLY looking for a simple plugin (freeware or otherwise) that I can play
single note lines, etc. off the 'puter keyboard, etc. that's compatable with CPA9.
Bottom line..I'm a guitarist (let the jokes fly) and don't play keys...so
any info for a keyboard/MIDI challenged person here would be much appreciated.

Physical and Mathematical sound synthesis

I am interested in physical and mathematical modelling of musical sounds. I am not interested in doing this in real time. But would like to create complex waveforms that can then be played thru on the PC to hear the effects. My main interest is to experiment with the creation of realistic piano tones.

Can anyone suggest the best Windows 9x software that would allow me to do this?

I read somewhere on the net that emc style converter oo works professional will allow the conversion of styles from Korg, Yamaha and many others into Technics format. I own a Technics KN-2000. It's rather hard to make a WAV file that is a decoded MP3 file sound higher quality if the original MP3 file is not of a high quality.

Make sure you are using a good decoder, like perhaps <a href="/smm/programs/CoolDecode/">CoolDecode</a> (it's free atleast).

You could always try audio restoration software to try to improve the quality of the WAV file.

When you create wav files or MP3 files, make sure that they are ALWAYS 44Khz Stereo. CD burning programs will NOT let you burn it to a CD as CD Audio unless it's 44Khz stereo, if you have to, just upsample it.
