Pianodisc Software

I recently bought a piano with the PianoDisc player system. I understand that there is some piano shareware that can be downloaded on a floppy and played on the PianoDisc system. Can someone tell me where I can get this software, and must I modify it to play on the PianoDisc player. Thanks. Dave Wilson

Anyone know of any programs to convert wav to cda.
I made some wav files, mixed them and want to record them to cd but I don't know how.
Any help is appreciated.

I assume that you have a CD recorder, if you do then the program that you got with the CD recorder probably will do it automatically. If you have adaptec easy Cd Creator then all you have to do is choose to create an Audio CD and drag the *.wav files on to the cd layout, it automatically puts them onto the CD as tracks.....I am pretty sure that other CD recording software will do the same thing....just have a read of the help files with the software...

Scratch samples just like a DJ with AnalogX Scratch!

Alright, this is a fun one! Basically, the program allows you to load up and two mono samples (any sampling rate, any bit depth), and then scratch one in realtime! You know, like a DJ, right? :) Then when you've thought you've had just about as much fun as someone can handle, you can record whatever you do into another WAV file, to use in a song, or on your answering machine or whatever. There are several more features, but if it doesn't already interest you enough to go download it right this second, then you probably don't care. So, since I know you DO want to go download it right this second, it's at:

okay, first off, this is not a great program. it
is pretty fun, but it is nothing like a real
turntable. in order to make scratches sound
correct, you need a crossfader which you can slide
back and forth while scratching the records,
otherwise it sounds horrible. if analogX can add
this properley, it might sound better. if you
have a Linux operating system, try using another
scratch simulator, "Terminator-X", it is much more
rewarding.

WAVES AUDIO TRACKS 2.5 is not for PC???

I already have them saved as MP3, but Third Age only supports .au sound files. Does anyone know how I can convert MP3 to .au? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Removing music

I'm looking for software or hardware that does a decent job of filtering out music and leaving vocals. I have software that does an excellent job at the reverse...leavig music and removing vocals. I'm looking for the opposite now. Thanks.

hi there,
i am looking for both. one to remove vocal out of music and one to remove music.
i am greek so of cource there is no karaoke in greek, which is what i am trying to do.
i have xp home edition and i am trying a lot of things. have tou tried cool edit?
please also let me know what you used to remove voice.and if you had any luck with removing music.

Hi. What software do you use for removing vocals. I am using YoGen but it is alot a crap. Can u assist. Sorry i don't know of any software to remove music.

Goldwave is quite good in removing vocals. www.golwave.com

I can't get Cubasis to record and play wave tracks at
the same time. I've tried enabling full duplex,
reducing the sample rate but always the message
"audio not responding" comes up. I also had a synth
called Creative music on the 220 port but now it won't
play sounds, even though it comes up on the tab for
selecting the synth.

Does anyone else find these problems?

Soundblaster card are NOT really full duplex.
They have only one 16 bit DMA and one 8 bit DMA
so if you're (really) lucky it's possible to get 8 bit playback during 16 bit recording, but it takes some fiddling around with the full-duplex settings.
That 220 port is the soundblaster FM synth. It has to be enabled somewhere in your controlpanel.
Don't expect too much from it... it sounds crappy !
So if you're really into making music, get a real soundcard. Soundblasters are great for gamers, NOT for musicians.
Try the el cheapo yamaha waveforce for instance, or the terratec EWS64 (S)

I've been using the Yamaha WF192 ($30) on a Pentium 166 with Cubase VST
and have managed up to 11 tracks of playback and duplexed recording, plus
a whole sh%t-load of MIDI, all at the same time. If I didn't see it,
I wouldn't believe it, but this card rocks.
BUT it doesn't work well (at all) with many DOS Box games. But hey, that's
what SB16's are for, right?

Sync Signals off CD

Can anyone reccomend a system to pull time code off a
CD so that one can use this to synchronise other events.
Or alternatively way to put cues on a CD RW disc so that
use these to trigger other events.

We need to do this to the nearest 100 msec so it is not
fussy. We only need an event signal at a specific time
not instructions to the devices as to what to do.

I found out, that I can change most of the
settings by editing the .ini-file.

smp-24 driver for PC?

Hello midilovers,

I am looking for a steinberg SMP-24 driver for PC.
I can't find it anywhere, maybe you know if it exsist in the first place.

SMP-24 is a midi patchbay / smpte time code locker. manufactured by steinberg for the Atari,
but now everybody is switching to PC platforms, thats fine with me, but i still would like to use my SMP-24!!!

Hello Marcel.

I would like to know something too.
Steinberg is not interested in supporting their old users/products.
I know of PC-drivers, but also heard of some kind of required to use the smp in your pc.
I think that i would work with any computer if you could get someone to make programs for you or make them yourselves ( linux ).
Otherwise please notify me if you hear of any possibilitys for pc or mac, as I will you.
