I'm having a the same trouble! The way that I've
been doing it is to split the one .WAV file into,
say 10 smaller ones using a program such as
Goldwave (Shareware). Then, using Adaptec Easy CD
creator, select "burn per CD" instead of burn per
track. This leaves no gaps between the tracks...

However, and this is a big however, you'll need
a half decent PC...With my P233 (48Mb RAM, 6 Gb
HD) it still takes literally HOURS to cut a 10
minute slice from a 74 Min WAV file...

Any ideas, then e-mail me. Someone must have
written a program for this sort of thing!

recording problems

I am using MusicMatch to record music from my tapes. All was working OK until I reloaded my machine. Now when I record from tapes to computer I can hear sound out of both speakers on the computer. However, when I burn the CD and play it on another CD player, sound only comes out of one speaker. Can anyone help. I have tried, and tried. Checked connections, all OK. checked setting, all looks OK. Need Help

if the file u record is a stereo .wav then the recording is not the problem. right click it + see. Sounds like a problem with the cd player poss? tried another? some are not designed to play cdr's.

I Right click and it said type wav but no were does it say stero. Could this me my problem. I have burned CD prior to reloading my machine and it worked OK. But since I reloaded it stop working right. I tried several players and the same thing "plays out of one speaker only". Please help.

under 'details' it should say
PCM,22,050 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
or something similar.

maybe not because a mono file should play through both speakers. it must be a stereo file with one channel muted? try recording with another audio editor or sequencer to see if MM is the problem. And try another burning program if that's not it. A mystery to me friend good luck:)

Using Easy CD Creater Deluxe it converts *.wav to *.cda automatically. It's very easy just add the *.wav files to it and record the CD it will ocnvert it & write it at the same time!

Ok people here is the deal...I work in the computer
science dept of UGA. We (students) have been trying
to develop a way to do such a thing. What happened
is that the corporations that made the Cd writers
already developed the software. Once we made a
working copy, the corporations found it on the UGA
ftp site and threatened to sue. So the moral of the
story is that the only legal way to gain such soft
ware is to buy a cd writer..they come with the necessary
software. if not..try adaptec corporation. I own
an adaptec cd writer and that is how I move all my
MP3s to wav, then to CDA. I know this sucks, but
they own the patents and if us little people try it
then we get our asses sued. I would distribute my
copy, but the univerisity wiped it out to avoid the
case. sorry.

The Awe64 is not fully Duplex even though it says it is, major bummer I know!!!If you go into setup mme in the start menu and set the instrument mapper and the wavesynth/wgmidi to inactive you may have more luck.Failing that just snap the p.o.s in half.

I just upgraded to Windows XP and now have the same problem. I now get a message saying that vscapi.dll can't be found. Does anyone out there know how to fix this problem?

you made a copy of the exe. file so you could disassemble it, didn't you???

Anyway, a copied exe. file results in a missing VSCAPI.DLL

my name is michaelmarkley@yahoo.com I have a factory software CD and when I download it I have that message pop up that I am missing a helper file....
Cannot load VSCAPI.DLL.
