The only solution for me was to download music match wich can be downloaded at www.musicmatch.com. after you download that you have to download the driver for rio pmp300 with can be found at http://www.musicmatch.com/info/plug-ins/?plugin=player&version=6.0&os=pc.
This worked great for me an i think it cn work for anyone

Hi,

I'm the developer of MP3Man. The version for NT of this tool works fine on W2K and XP. To be honest, on most PCs. Because on some PCs there are troubles to connect. I didn't find this bug until now, because on all my PCs I tested it worked fine. There is an indroduction how to install on W2K/XP available (http://www.you2.de/InstallMP3ManDriverForW2000.zip).

Dreaming of Brazil worked for me and my friend who also runs XP. it should also run on NT/2000
e-mail me if you need more help at seanSPAMBOT_KILL_STRINGp2k@hotmail.com , with spambot_kil_string removed, i did that so spambots dont go thru here and kill it or use my endjunk address, msgboard@seanp2k.endjunk.com

I just found a great program, which actually seems to work 100% with my Rio PMP300 on XP. It's called RIOsitude.

Download "RIOsitude" here:

Dreaming of brazil 3b6 works 90% but cuts off some songs. It can be used as an alternative(it's only a beta version).

I'm assuming you installed the Win2K drivers to get your 300 to work with XP? Did you ignore the Windows warning that this driver hadn't been tested and they recommend you not install it? It worked anyhow? I have a 500 and am considering doing the same.

No, I didn't install the win2k drivers. Infact I just plugged my pmp300 to the computer and used the programs. They have built-in drivers I guess.

In RIOsitude you can choose between pmp300 or 500 in the main screen, so that should work I hope.

win 98 drivers won't work? since windows me has a lot in common with win98, 98's driver may work
