Rioport Manager does not include device drivers for the PMP300, nor does it have them to download anywhere on its site. It only supports the PMP500 and PMP600 and PMP800

I have initialize the memory of my rio.
All songs was deleted but the memory block was not.
Now I have only 670ko of memory in my rio.
I have try to initialize again but I have always 670ko.
Somebody knows how to reset the memory.

Yeah I had the same problem, maybe you have to connect the rio on a other computer and erase it there, because when the problem happened at my Rio, my connector was between my scanner and my printer. DONT DO THAT BECAUSE IT WILL GIVE YOU THE SAME PROBLEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! CONNECT DIRECTLY TO THE PC, THEN PUT THE PRINTER AND THE SCANNER>that will help I think

WIndows 2000 &RIO PMP300 drivers

You have at least two choices for free downloadable software for the Rio PMP 300 player using Windows 2000.

1) Go to http://www.rioport.com/SoftwareResources and download the the Rio Port Audio Manager

version 3.3 or

2)Go to http://www.musicmatch.com and download the free MusicMatch jukebox version 6.0.

Make sure that after installing the program, you go back to the website and add the plug-in

for the Rioplayer. Open the jukebox program with your PC online and choose the {options>

add new features} from the jukebox menu bar, then you should be automatically transferred to the

corresponding webpage which you then choose portable MP3 players by clicking the link, which should

automatically install the upgrade.

I believe WINNT 4.0 is also supported by a version of the the Rioport Manager just prior to 3.3

which would be version 3.2.

I've tried both with success, hopefully

it will work for others!

internal memory is whacky

Neither works for me.

Hello!!! This thread is for PMP300 devices. Both your options have support for Rio600/800 and PMP500, but not PMP300. The first option has a link to sonicblue website at http://www.riohome.com/support/rio/default.asp?menu=support&submenu=Legacy_Rio&product=Rio_PMP300 and I followed the instructions there. Didn't work either. Yes I have Windows 2000 and have Diamond Rio PMP300.

When i want to delete the existing songs from Rio memory, the software says "INTERNAL BLOCK ERROR".
