I just got a HP cd writer + and i can only burn half a song or somtimes a FULL song but then i get this underrun buffer occured
error.........But ther is nothing wrong with the cd burner so do you think if i download nero it would work?THANX

If you are using a cd-rom and the burner for direct transfers try making the burner the master drive on the scondary ide and the
cd-rom as the slave on the primary ide....for some odd reson if both cd-rom and the burner are on the same ide connertor they do
not work well together..

maybe someone can help me..im trying to burn my mp3 files to cd audio and all i get is coasters because of the "buffer underun" so far i have only burned one full cd out of 6. what can be done about this underun..thanx

What model of HP writer + is it???
I had a 7200 and it gave me very much grief.
I have a 9100 now and have never burned a coaster
with it. I use Nero, Adaptec, and CloneCD all
together. I've also been on configurations where
both cd drives are on one IDE Cable without
problems, What kind of mainboard do you have,
how much RAM? how much free space?

I had the demo 4.0 for a while and all copying was super. I could copy at 6X. Since the 4.0 expired april 2000, I downloaded the
demo 5.0 for which I've had problems galor. I had to throw away about 10 cd's because it finishes the copying says burning
process completed successfully but when I try to use the cd it won't work...why I don't know---If anybody has a solution please

Are you using a serial number you got off the web ?? Nero will accept these serial numbers and then burn bad disks....

Burning Problem

I have a CD Burner for my cpu. It's a hewlit Packard and it works fine. Ever since I've gotten this Burner installed my scanner
has quit working. It runs off a parrallel port. Every time I try and scan a pic, it says operation timed out. How can you fix this
problem?

Don't record from multiple cd's or save the data from multiple cd's from your hard drive first. When you switch cd's back and
forth the cd burner has to pause... if it screws up and loses it's place on the cdr it will screw up your burn. It is ALWAYS best to
save the data to your hard drive first... either in the form of just plain old data files or, in the case of backups and such, iso's.
