because i do not have drive for windows95.

Software: recommend Adaptec Easy CDPro 95
SCSI controller: recommend any Adaptec SCSI controller - but if you use an Adaptec master bus controller - even better.

Contact me for more info regarding problem solving when using the CDD521. I use the same burner with minimal hassles. It is reliable and built to last.

s/h CDD521/10 and am trying to use it with a Mac
Performer 5400/180. I am wondering if you have any
manual or specs for the CDR as you own one. If so
could you please copy me on them/it.
It would seem that the Apple CDROM driver
will probably drive it ok, although as yet
I cannot check as I am waiting on a SCSI-2
terminator. It appears to be supported by both
the versions of Adaptec Jam(TM) and Toast(TM)
that I currently use. Anyway any feedback would
be appreciated.

By the look of things, It's time to get a new Writer.
Even Nero doesn't list this one. They list the 522. but not the 521.

One thing though. If you go to the link below, you can find all the settings for NERO and if it works, then "bonus !!".

Start by downloading the latest version of nero from:
ftp://ftp.ahead.de/nero50.exe
Install this and use the guide on my Help-site to set up and record.

80 min CD's

Open Nero, shut down the wizard, click on the FILE tab, click PREFERENCES and just adjust the red and yellow markers to the required length.

I'm afraid that the answer to this is NO.
Simple explanation follows:

The Sega Dreamcast CD's are actually GD-ROMs, sort for Gigabyte Disc, holding maximum 1 GB of Data instead of the standard 650-700 Mb. Developed by Yamaha, the GD-ROM is a proprietary format which works by packing the pits on the disc closer together to store more data. Along with more storage the GD-ROMs provide an extra level of Copy Protection as they cannot be reproduced using a standard CD-Writer.

in order to burn a dvd you will either need a
cd-r or a cd-rw it really doesn't matter.
1.open adaptec choose cd copier
2.load the dvd
3.load the cd-r or cd-rw to the burner
4.once done doing this you should be able to burn it.

if the cd your burning doesn't have enough space don't worry just put another one in and let it burn. In the end you will either have 1 0r 2 cd's maybe even more. It really doesn't matter. I would recommed using MEMOREX CD-R IF U DON'T WANT TO WASTE CD'S.

I find that CoolEdit 2000 is an absolute marvel.
I have my stereo hooked-up to my PC and I can record full vinyl albums (remember them ?) or cassettes or soundtracks from video or DVD straight in with CoolEdit 2000.
As for putting them on CD, Nero is brilliant.
Just save all the sound files you create with CoolEdit as .Wav and Nero will burn them to CD for you.

When you ask a question like this, you really need to supply all the information.
Nero versions have four numbers - for example:
5.0.3.5. 5.0.3.8. 5.0.2.2. etc....
Let me know which version.

Use CoolEdit 2000 to open the Mp3 and simply Copy sections and use the 'paste to new' feature.

There is also a shareware program out there called MP3 Trackmaker. It does the trick, although the free version is limited to 2 minute tracks. :-/
